A capela deve ser lindíssima, mas não foi possível visitar. Fui informado pela senhora que se encontrava junto da capela que tinha que enviar em e-mail para o museu de Lamego com 24 horas de antecedência. Não se encontrava ninguém para visitar a capela, por isso contactei via telemóvel o museu para visitar mas fui informado que não era possível porque tinham que desinfectar o espaço. Não sabia que a visita implicava tocar nos objectos expostos ou que sou um foco de infeção pois após cada visita procediam à desinfeção do espaço. É uma desculpa esfarrapada para impedir o acesso a visitar algo para o qual pago impostos para manter. Nesse dia visitei o mosteiro de S. João de Tarouca e o Convento de Salzedas e não me impediram o acesso a esses espaços.

this is a tiny chapel and our tour guide said it was the oldest surviving Christian place of worship, its from 7th century

Considered the first catholic church in Portugal, it also has a peculiar image of a pregnant Our Lady of O. There you'll find a very sympathetic lady that will give you a tour of the chapel, showing you very interesting aspects and intriguing facts. A must see, despite the beaten road to access!

Żeby się tutaj dostać trzeba trochę wysiłku bo dróżka jest stroma, wąska i kręta. W grę wchodzi właściwie tylko dojazd wynajętym samochodem. Kapliczka bardzo stara i urocza, wstęp bezpłatny. Pani przewodnik bardzo chce przekazać wiedzę o tym miejscu i całkiem dobrze jej się to udaje mimo że mówi tylko po portugalsku😁

A localização não é a melhor, e nada há para ver em redor. as 4 estrelas vão para a simplicidade, por ser grátis e pela enorme simpatia da funcionária que nos explicou detalhadamente cada parte da capela e da sua história. Assim dá mais gosto visitar o nosso património!

Esta relíquia arquitectónica é a prova de que o Património Nacional está bem vivo, nas margens do Rio Balsemão.Contem o túmulo de D. Afonso Pires, Bispo do Porto (Séc XIV) e uma imagem de Nossa Senhora do Ó, digna de registo, além de outras esculturas também interessantes.O guia local é de uma simpatia contagiante. Imperdível, para apreciadores de arte antiga! De passagem por Lamego, há muito para visitar, também!

Despite its fame as one of the oldest chapels in Portugal, the chapel you can see today is a mostly baroque construction from the 17th century. Little is left from the original 6th century chapel, but you can still see some pre romanesque motifs on the arches of the chapel. The lady who receives you is very nice and helpful, but does not seem to be a specialist in what she is talking about. It was nice to see, but I probably wouldn't come back.

Bardzo urokliwa kaplica, sięgającą historią aż do VII wieku. Przemiła Pani, która odprowadzić chce każdego turystę. Zna tylko język portugalski :)

This little chapel is very quaint. A lovely woman gave us a small "tour" and even though we didn't speak each other's language we got the gist of which parts were original and which came later. Contains a large sarcophagus and nice statue.
