Água super cristalina, uma praia tranquila , apesar do turismo.Consegue se achar lugares isolados. Para mim foi a praia mais bonita de Creta

The MS Christina is a nice boat with sympatic and helpful crew - enough space for every guest on the ship, small enough (in comparison to some other boats that you can rent) to go near the beaches that you can swim the last distance. And during the crossing it is even possible to put your feet overboard and feel the spray of the waves.
It is anchored at two beaches -the second is the famous golden beach. Both time you can swim to the beaches and have time to look around, snorkel or swim and enjoy the turquoise pristine pristine clear water. After visiting the first beach there is a traditionally cooked meal on the boat (you can book the trip with or without the meal) which I didn't have myself, but which the others liked very much.
When you leave the ship to swim to Chrissi Island you can just jump into the water or you can use the very comfortable ladder into the water.
You have to see Chrissi Island!!! The island itself is rather rough and rocky, has gnarled trees and is dry. But the water of the sea there is indescribably clear and turquoise blue - it's like being in another world. We even saw a lionfish while snorkeling, which should be seen there quite often.
On personal request, the crew takes souvenir photos of all jumps into the water and also of the participants on the boat and there is a very nicely designed Facebook page "Christina boat - Chrissi island cruises" where you can look at these photos afterwards. A wonderful trip that I will 100% repeat next year!

Godimento assoluto nel leggere le recensioni di chi è rimasto deluso arrivando da nord ovest. Restate là!!! Chrissi ha subito negli ultimi anni più di 500mila visitatori l'anno, specie quelli itineranti mordi e fuggi, che non hanno rispettato l'isola . Così il Governo ha deciso di chiuderla. Ha fatto benissimo! Poi per quelli che la paragonano alla Liguria, ancora meglio. Non dovete venirci, state tutti a nord. Creta ha una parte selvaggia non turistica e spero che tale resti, anche a costo di chiuderla tutta. Kali.

Magnifique île accessible en bateau puis à la nage... la personne qui nous a vendu le billet s'est empressé d'encaisser l'argent et c'est une fois payé qu'elle nous dit qu'il faut nager donc acheter un sac a dos étanche... sauf que problème cette journée il y avait beaucoup de vent, l'ensemble des touristes a dû rester sur le bateau, certains ont tenté de nager autour du bateau mais ils étaient emportés en mer... très dangereux mais le personnel du bateau rigolait... nous sommes donc rentrés bien avant l'heure et la personne qui nous a vendu les tickets avait disparu (pourtant prévenue)!! A fuir absolument surtout avec des enfants..

Nous avions choisi de visiter la partie ouest de l’île, ses plages et ses vestiges archéologiques. Mal nous en a pris. Les vestiges de Gortyne ne sont absolument pas mis en valeur, pas de guide pas d’audio guide, pas de brochure explicative et pour le comble une partie des vestiges se trouvent de l’autre côté de la route derrière des grillages. La plage de Matala surpeuplée, parkings bondés à tel point que nous avons changé d’endroit pour passer la nuit. Idem pour la plage d’Elafonissi que nous n’avons même pas visitée. Le lagon de Balos ne vaut pas mieux, arrivés avant 10 heures par la piste nous avons fui à 12 heures quand un bateau a craché au moins 200 personnes par la tranche avant directement sur la plage. Au sortir du parking 2 km de voitures garées le long de la falaise rendant difficile le croisement des voitures montantes et descendantes.
Les rues des villes de La Caneée et Rethymno sont remplies de restaurants et de boutiques pour touristes. Le musée archéologique d’Heraklion est formidable, les ruines de Cnossos victimes de leur popularité. Au global des lieux magiques vont bientôt disparaître piétinés par des hordes venues d’Europe du Nord. Et un patrimoine archéologique inestimable mal mis en valeur.

Déjà 7 ans passé et un bonheur de retrouver chrissi sans transat et bar. Juste un sac à dos et de l'eau indispensable.
La plupart des gens prennent les gros bateaux sardines comme leurs vacances lowcost mais le meilleur plan c'est les ptits yacht privé pour 10euros de plus et rien à voir car beaucoup plus ecolo et service impeccable avec beaucoup de sourire. Tout est dans le savoir vivre et adaptation. Toujours aussi beau et magique cette île. Bien choisir son jour quand même par rapport au vent qui peut être très fort parfois.
Amoureux de la nature welcome

we went on a trip to chrissi island for 60 euro /pp, wich included the lunch.
The island was greate but very far to swim for most people (about 60m in current and waves).
But the cristal clear water and warm water was nice . The lunch was a disapointment (30 euro) i expected more for this money.

De algehele beschrijving aanpassen svp.
Chrissie is een natura 2000 gebied en boten mogen daar niet meer aanmeren.
Dat betekent : bagage achterlaten op de boot daar wordt over gewaakt.
Vanaf de boot zonder handdoek, rugzak, camera, zonnebrand, geld etc . Spring je in t water en zwemt 50/ 60 meter naar het eiland.
Dus alke info die op internet staat is achterhaald

We went to Chris Island from Ierapetra on a cruise 27 Euros per person. We were told that on the island are amazing spots to relax and that the boat comes directly to the beach. In fact, the boat stopped around 200-300 meters from the coastline and we had to leave all our things on deck to see the island. However it was very nice to swim on the open sea.

Is there somewhere to buy food on Chrissi island?

We didn’t see a stall selling food, we only saw the odd few hippy stalls with their crafts.
We got our food on the boat but please don’t take this option as it’s awful. Pack a cool bag/box like most of the tourists did with your own food and drinks.
