My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service provided by Volos Taxi Service between Athens and Volos! After missing our flight to join a cruise of Greece leaving from Athens, I spent hours on the Internet looking for a connection to Volos by rail or bus. I found nothing so was very relieved when the site for Volos Taxi Service appeared, and I realized that it made trips betweeen the two cities.
Our driver waited for us to collect our luggage even though our flight was considerably delayed. She was very pleasant all trip, and a very competent driver. I can't tell you what a relief it was to see her sign as we exited the arrival area of the airport.

The four of us were picked up at Volos pier in a Mercedes E Class station wagon. Our friendly driver, Hara, drove us directly to Meteora, about two hours away. The weather was not good. It rained heavily at times. But Hara was able to take us to as many monasteries as possible under the circumstances. She also stopped at various vantage points for us to take pictures. After sightseeing, Hara drove us to a restaurant in town where we took a break. At the various stops, because we were a small party, we did not waste time exiting and reentering buses. Hara drove expertly, even in the rain. So we also saved transit time. At the end of the trip, the charge was 220€, exactly as agreed. The drawbacks were minor compared to taking a cruise ship’s excursion tour. To rendezvous with the car outside the security area, we had to walk about a kilometre from the ship’s gangway. And there was no guide to explain the monasteries’ sights. But by going with Volos Taxi Service, instead of taking the Viking excursion tour ($165 US per person), the four of us were able to save $$$!

My friends and I used Volos Taxi Service twice during our trip to Greece. We rented the charter bus option for 8 people - Six of us in total with luggage and fit perfectly well! The admin was so kind and communicative - I never had to wait long for a response, and they answered all of my questions (so many questions). The drivers were so nice, drove safely, and were extremely punctual - picked us up straight from our Airbnb on the first trip and were waiting at the port when our ferries arrived for the second trip. They were also the most affordable rate that I could find - I really cannot recommend them enough!

Wonderful service! Excellent communication throughout the booking process. Our driver was just delightful and such a lovely person. The trip was perfect from beginning to end. I’d recommend using Volos taxi service any time you’re in the area!

If you are looking for a hassle free well priced alternative to public transport, look no further. Two trips each 4 hours long in comfort and with friendly informative drivers that looked after us exceptionally well. Highly recommended. Paul and Branka from Sweden.

Great experience - excellent communication with and all details and prices confirmed ahead of travel and checked 2 days prior. Taxi drivers on time and friendly, not worried to wait for incoming flights or ferries. Incredibly helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

je pars en avril 2016 faire la croisiere costa "la Grece antique et météores" et je prépare mes excursions a faire par moi meme, je voudrais savoir si ce taxi vous prend a la descente du bateau au port ou y'a t-il un lieu bien spécifique, comment réserver un taxi .

VolosTaxiService peut organiser une visite d'une journée pour 20 météores des personnes. Le prix de ce voyage est de 330 euros. Le prix indiqué dans la réponse précédente (280 euros) est pour les 9 seat Minibus, qui était initialement réservé. Pour des raisons techniques, le minibus 9 places ne pouvait pas être utilisé, nous avons donc informé notre client que nous utiliserions un plus grand bus. Naturellement, le prix était le même parce que le changement a été fait par nous et pas demandé par le client.

Il y a un code vestimentaire dans les météores monastères. De façon générale, les femmes doivent porter une jupe longue et ont leurs épaules couverts. Pour les hommes, short doivent couvrir les genoux. De toute évidence, si vous visitez en décembre, ce code ne sera pas difficile à suivre. En tout cas, il y a de longues jupes et châles disponible à les monastères' entrées.
Veuillez noter que, sauf Agios Stefanos (Saint Stephen), tous les monastères ont beaucoup d'escaliers, de sorte qu'il serait une bonne idée de porter des chaussures adaptées.
