Nous avons fait un stop dans le village de Spili sur notre route vers le Sud de l'Ile. non loin de Rethymnon - On se gare très facilement sur un parking gratuit en arrivant dans cette petite commune, il est à 5 minutes de la fontaine. Nous avons pu faire une pause fraicheur sur cette placette pleine d'arbre et remplir nos gourdes pour la suite de la journée

Amazing village - amazing place.. the water it was so nice and the tree at the middle of the square.. i reccomended this place

Interesting place to stop off at if you are passing through, although in fairness I would not make a special effort/detour to go. The village is quite pretty, and the fountain at the village centre. There are a few shops to have a browse around and number of cafes and restaurants too. Some of the adjacent cafes and restaurants bottle the water and provide it to patrons, which is a nice touch.

Super place to fill up your water bottles. The cute village is very welcoming. Bit touristy, but it is understandable as many people stop here for a quick refresher. The fountains are very nice, the water is very clean and tastes very good. It is ver calm and relaxing.

Leuk dorpje. Niet heel groot. We wilden de wandelroute naar boven doen maar het pad was hobbelig met veel stenen. Een van ons heeft toen zijn enkel verstuikt waardoor we zijn afgehaakt. Maar het schijnt dat je er ook met de auto kan komen.

Der Löwenbrunnen ist idyllisch gelegen. Vor Ort zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Essen und trinken! Das Wasser ist klar, kalt und äußerst wohlschmeckend.

Joli petit village nous l'avons fait en revenant de matala on y trouve de bon restaurant avec spécialités local petit mais très beau à faire

Heerlijk om je auto te parkeren en even door Spili te wandelen. De Lions fountains zijn leuk om te zien, even een foto maken, op een bankje zitten, toeristische winkeltjes bezoeken, hapje en een drankje.euk als he in de buurt bent, of eenrondrit maakt.

Stumbled upon the mountain village of Spili while driving from Rethymno to Plakias.
What a lovely village!
The venetian ”lion head” fountains are at the heart of the village. Apparently the water is drinkable as many locals were drinking from the fountain.
Lots of beautiful nooks and crannies around this area including restaurants and little shops!

Überraschung! An heißen Sommertagen findet man hier Ruhe und Abkühlung! Das Wasser plätschert aus 23 (?) Brunnen vor sich hin und macht ein angenehm kühles Klima, wozu auch die großen Bäume beitragen. Schöner Platz, wird in Reiseführern kaum erwähnt!
