I liked this place, the exhibition center transformed by the old factory, the overall building is very characteristic. There are many beautiful little crafts. The environment is also beautiful and worth visiting.

One of the main reasons for my wife's visit to Helsinki. On this day, we took the metro to Marimekko → Hakaniemi Market, then the tram to Arabia & Iittala. It's great that you can travel efficiently in Helsinki using the metro and tram. First, get off the tram and go back to the intersection, and you'll see a building with Arabia written on it that is often in photos. Then just walk towards it. The entrance is at the bottom right of this building. If you go up the gentle slope, you'll see the cafe on your right and the shop entrance on your left. But hold back here, and first go up to the 8th floor and look at the exhibition. The history of Arabia and Iittala (design exhibition) is very interesting! We took our time to look around, and we got tickets for 15% (I think). (However, it seems that it can't be used for vintage items.) The first floor shop is large, and it's irresistible for Arabia and Iittala fans. To be honest, it didn't feel like much of a bargain because the yen was weak.

I made sure to visit the factory shop as I'd been led to expect it would be a great spot for bargains. But instead, I found it to be rather small and offering the same goods at the same prices as stores I'd visited in Helsinki's city center. I thought there would be a huge sale section, but it was just a couple of tables. I spent more time on trams getting to and from this location than I did in the store itself. It's fine, I guess. I just had expectations that it would be so much more.

Every Finn has held a piece of Arabia tableware in hand at some point of their life. The factory took the historical name of the location when it was established already in 1874. Over the years the brand has stood for quality both in design and production remaining the obvious choice for a new home. Now the vintage pieces from 1950's to 1980's are so sought after that they are sold even in Arabia shops. The rich archives present endless material for new reproductions as well.

Käydessä Arabian myymälässä kannattaa tutustua myös 8. kerroksen ilmaiseen museoon. Se on hienosti toteutettu ja esillä paljon historiaa. Maisematkin hienot ja esteetön kulku.

トラムで行き、到着して地図を見てもどこなのか良く分からず、通りがかりの方に聞き、たどり着きました（ヘルシンキの方は皆親切に教えてくれます）。トラムの駅からは徒歩5分強位です。
始めに階上のデザインの歴史や展示が見れるエリアを見て、後にショップに行きました。海外で陶器物は買わないはずだったのに、ムーミンのカップを買ってしまいました。

あらかじめネットで工場の行き方をしらべて、トラムの一日乗車券で行ってきました。事前に調べておかないとよくわからないです。当初カフェもあるとのことで、昼食をする予定でしたが、イースターでやっていませんでした。ショップはやっており、お客も少なくゆっくり品物を探せました。今も買ったお皿は大事に使っており、北欧の旅を思い出します。

We visited as part of a bus tour. The upstairs museum of Finnish ceramics was well laid out and quite interesting.

マリメッコ本社からウーバーでアクセス。イッタラ、アラビア食器の品揃えは豊富で、ビンテージの取り扱いもある。しかしながら価格は安くない。同じビルにあるミュージアムによれば15%オフクーポンが貰えるので、先にミュージアムによる方が良いかも。

Arabiaの工場・ショップと、ガラスの色の出し方や、デザインの歴史などが見れる展示が上階にあります。トラム６，８番でArabiankatu下車、このバス停は角を曲がって停車するので、来た道を戻って、大通りをまっすぐ北に行くと入り口です。通常の商品のほか、見た目ではわからない、色合いが基準を満たさなかった商品、中古のヴィンテージ商品などが安く売られています。日本人の店員さんが丁寧に説明してくださり、ありがたかったです。コーヒーのサービスも休憩出来て、ほっとしました。買い物後に、カフェでサーモンスープをいただいて帰りました。
40 Euro以上の購入で免税手続きをしてもらえます。Planetというものでヘルシンキ空港、第2ターミナルの2階、エスカレーター上がってすぐのカウンターで手続きしてもらいました。事前にQRコードを読み取り、登録の手続きをネット上で行いましたが、Global Blueのカウンターよりもすいていて、すぐに手続きできました。
40 Euro以上の購入で免税手続きをしてもらえます。Planetというものでヘルシンキ空港、第2ターミナルの2階、エスカレーター上がってすぐのカウンターで手続きしてもらいました。事前にQRコードを読み取り、登録の手続きをネット上で行いましたが、Global Blueのカウンターよりもすいていて、すぐに手続きできました。

今年のクリスマスの時期（12月23日～26日）にヘルシンキに旅行する予定です。
休みになるお店が多い中、こちらは年中無休とガイドブックに記載されていたのですが
実際にクリスマスの時期でもアウトレットでお買いものすることが可能でしょうか？
