The ice cave itself was good to look at and is definitely a worthwhile experience. However, of the 3 h tour 40 min round trip and the time at the cave was directly only about 10 minutes. The visit itself, including photos, takes less than 5 minutes. There was talk of other ice caves nearby, but these were not shown. After less than 2 hours we were back. We were very disappointed

Tolle Tour. Gunnar was an excellent guide who accompanied us informatively and humorously and also gave us an extra ride over the black beach. Whether you really need to see the ice cave now is questionable, but scenically worth the trip!

Our guide on March 18, 9:30 am tour (Gunner?) was fantastic! So much great information along the drive and the ice cave tour was safe and beautiful! Amazing tour and we are so glad we booked it.

Only one destination instead of the three advertised. I understand the roads were a little more challenging but it would have been nice to have been told the other destinations (volcano and beach) were being cut.
Scenery was pretty though and guide was friendly.

Ole was a brilliant host. He picked us up on time in an immaculate almost brand new 4x4 super jeep. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the area was brilliant and he made us feel welcome from the start.
We had plenty of time to visit each of the waterfalls and even had enough time for extra photo stops that Ole suggested.
Highly recommended. We had a brilliant time. Top tip - take snacks for the trip. The food stop was later in the afternoon but that was fine as we were prepared for it.

Booked tour with 4x4 Jeep for Northern Lights excursion the following day when a strong magnetic storm was in place. Three hours before departure they send an email canceling the tour. The reason? The weather conditions were not favorable, when all the weather gave forecasts of completely clear skies and in fact it was... fortunately, having the car, we went alone as they would have made us lose the sight of a super dawn lasting 9 hours and visible to the naked eye. Final judgment: we felt fooled, and their professionalism is zero. It would have been more professional if instead of an email with the risk of not being read, they had made a call. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I found this company to go above and beyond with providing a great experience to its customers. The weather caused cancellations all week long but the company were sympathetic and kept rebooking the tours. Finally on my last night in Iceland the weather cooperated. John was the guide for my van and he was gracious, informative, had a great sense of humor and did his best to engage all guests(which was a hard task with some of the passengers).
Our van met up with 2 others at a likely spot and we waited. One of the other guides is the resident Northern Lights expert(Christian) and he went above and beyond helping me get the best photos possible and was exceptionally kind about it.
It was a magical experience and one I’ll never forget.
This tour was my second with Gravel Travel and both exceeded my expectations.

This trip on the winter solstice was the highlight of our wonderful Iceland trip. Christian, the knowledgable guide, planned the day brilliantly to ensure we saw everything despite the limited daylight, picking up some tourists who had missed their own tour and dealing with some vehicle trouble. As the guide explained, ice caves are affected by the climate and constantly changing, but we were fortunate to be taken several metres under a glacier in a narrow cave. I saw another tourist's complaint that the ice cave we visited didn't look like the photos online - clearly, they weren't listening. The guide also pointed out a small scale northern lights event and allowed those that wanted to observe it - an unplanned bonus.
