If you are in Iceland for 1 day or 1 month and you do not do this tour, you are doing you and your family a great disservice! This was without a doubt the highlight of our trip. Great personable and knowledgeable pilot, top tier equipment - and well worth the price!!

This was my first ever helicopter flight, my partner chose not to do it. I had mixed emotions before the flight of anxiety and excitement. The weather was more unpredictable than earlier forecast of sun. This led to a 3 hour wait for my flight. The team there were very good and accommodating. Then the time came to go. Mark ( I think ) was our pilot he briefed us on the route and safety info before we flew. The rest is best described as Magical. The flight, the views, the landing on Helka was terrific. On the return flight the weather deteriorated, but it was just superb flying just below the clouds and landing in snow. Absolutely delighted snd wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Great service and safe flying. Definitely an experience not to be missed. Had to change flights from volcano to geothermal due to bad weather but still incredible.

Wonderful tour with gorgeous views. Company was very accommodating when the weather did not cooperate with our original time. Our pilot was fantastic.

although expensive, absolutely worth it. Spectacular views from an active site and of Grindavik. We spent around 20 minutes in the lava planes and had the opportunity to take lots of photos from different seats.

An amazing experience flying over craters and lava fields and the. To top it off we were taken out over the ocean to see humpback and blue whales.

Breathtaking views and wonderful service. Our original booking was postponed due to weather and the staff went above and beyond to get us a tour before we left Iceland.

Amazing pilot and amazing views. Worth every single penny. The views are breathtaking and the view of the crater from top is amazing

Max was an excellent tour guide who gave us lots of information as we flew over the volcanoes. He made sure we were comfortable and talked us through what we would be seeing.

This tour must be taken. Where can you fly a helicopter in July or August? Will you see the crater of a volcanic eruption?

Hello, does your tour go to the Fagradalsfjall volcano? Which package would that be? I am looking to book for three people for next week.

The best suggestion, giving the changing weather in Iceland, is to call the Company and ask about their upcoming scheduled flights to the volcano.
They speak perfect English.

I'm Laura, I work for Norðurflug :)
As we are located on a short 5 to 10 minute drive from Reykjavik city centre, we don't offer pick up and drop off from hotels in Reykjavik.
The best way to reach us is by car or by taxi. It is also possible to come by bus, as bus 5 stops in front of our office (Nauthólsvegur).
If the weather is nice, you can also walk here, which would take about 30 minutes from the city centre :)

If we are planning to drive the ring road March 2017. What your would you recommend that would show us things we wouldn't otherwise likely see on our drive? Plus, any advise for driving the full ring road in March?

Hi! we liked waterfalls and valleys tour. Even if you go not far from those places by car, they look completely different from air. Also we landed on a volcano, which is unreachable by car. We were there in September, so it's difficult to tell what it will be like in March, I guess colder. Landscapes are so different in different parts, so I'm pretty sure, you will enjoy it. There are very few shops and restaurants in the south-eastern part (near Jokulsarlon), so I'd recommend to always have some food when you are around there.

Hi, we are a family of 3 with a 2 year old son. He has done loads of flights but never a helicopter and was wondering what your experience with kids has been so far? I am assuming that it is quite difficult to do this given how kids can be unpredictable?

Hi! I'm hoping to book the glacier landing tour as part of my 30th birthday trip to Iceland next year. The website says a minimum of 3 people on the tour, but there will only be me & my husband ... Do you offer any tours with a glacier landing for just 2 people? Many Thanks

Hi I'd like to surprise my husband and son for a hell tour next week but really can't make a decision on which one to choose, countless craters or glacier. we will be touring Iceland thereafter for 12 days. Also since I have only one day free for the help tour, what if the weather doesn't permit the tour? Any input much appreciated and thank a lot in advance

Hi Karin!
Both tours are good but it really depends on what you are more interested in; glaciers or volcano craters :)
The Fire and Ice tour might be the right fit for you. You'll land by a geathermal area by an old volcano AND land on a glacier!
We are very flexible and if the weather forecast is not looking promising at the time of your booked tour we:
A) Try to change the time on the same day (e.g. go in the afternoon instead of the morning).
B) Offer you to go on a different date (e.g. they day before or the day after).
C) If options A and B do not work for you we always give a full refund!
