HOW MUCH???? 18 euros to walk around some underground corridors for 20 mins. No guide, no explanations, barely any information on what we were seeing and barely any fun.
Also it doesn’t tell you before you go in that there are loads of steps, or that you end up coming out in a different place miles from where you started and facing quite a daunting set of steps to get back to where you started
All in all this was probably worth about 5 euros at most….

We payed 36€ for two adult tickets. It was self-guided, we gained entry through a ticket scan gate.
We walked through the tunnels, there were a few coloured lights in alcoves, and a strange metal twinkling light fixture in the first tunnel - I’m not sure what that was supposed to indicate, it was pretty and made a nice noise but otherwise had no obvious relevance to the tunnels.
There were a handful of information plaques but I didn’t learn anything I hadn’t already read online when booking the tickets.
It is very cold in the caves, and drippy, so take a coat. The steps can be wet and slippy. This is expected for caves but bear in mind if planning a visit.
There was a room with images projected onto the walls that loops through several languages, we arrived at this point right after English had been and we didn’t want to wait for it to loop back through 3 other languages so got the gist of what was happening and moved on.
I think it would be interesting to include some more personal human experiences, there must be historical first-hand accounts recorded from people who used the caves during the war? Some human interest stories would make the visit more relatable.
Finally, it’s important to be aware that you come out of the Casemates at the bottom of the valley and getting back up to street level involves many steps.
Honestly the most interesting thing I saw was the little ecosystems growing under the lights in the tunnels. Definitely not worth 18€ each for a walk through a tunnel.

Very impressive!
For me personally better than the Bock Casemates.
I had a guided tour in German on Monday at 12.30pm.
This one was very well done.
The times and the different languages offered can be requested at the Tourist Info at Wilhelmplatz and then booked online.

Interesting to see, guided tour in English with small group (15 people). Interesting info, friendly guy, not overly detailed. The tour did not take too long (45 min). The Guide leaves on time 😉.
Attention, lots of stairs, sometimes a bit slippery. Not suitable if you have difficulty walking.
Student rate possible for young people (student card was not requested)

Incredible history! The tour is very well done and just long enough to give you some great information without becoming boring. Perfect for a rainy day as well! Highly recommend this on your visit to Luxembourg City!

Luxembourg is a small European country, surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany. The City is beautiful for its ancient medieval city fortified on steep cliffs. Prepare water, some whole bars and a great pair of walking shoes, because you walk a lot (up and down, down and up). We did a tour of The Hague.
I loved!

English tour was all booked out so booked onto the german tour fairly last minute as a non-speaker. They had no issues with that which was cool.
Be aware that there's very little information in the network (only about 4 placards with some tidbits in 3/4 languages), and definitely don't replicate the quantity of information the tour guide was putting out.
I would say that this wasn't massively worth the price if you aren't a fluent speaker of the tour as while the caves are an impressive feat, they aren't much to look at without additional context given by the tour guide. The views out of the network via the windows aren't particularly astonishing either.
The guide takes you through the network, but generally you don't have to be glued to the guide or even be nearby as they're talking. A security person at the back ensures no one is left behind. The security person was aware that I wasn't a German speaker and was very patient as I hung behind to take photos and stuff.

We didn't actually get to tour the casements because we showed up 2 minutes late and the tour left without us. I'm not exaggerating, it was 2 minutes and they were already gone. I called the tourism office that sells the tickets and (censored by TripAdvisor) person told me "too bad, no refunds no exchanges. " Luxembourg is a mixture of German timeliness and French arrogance, but I expected more from the tourist office. Anywhere else in the world would have waited 5 minutes for the last 2 people of the tour. So that's €30 down the drain. If you do attempt this, get there early or they will take your money and leave you behind. Based on reading other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. The ts&cs are too restrictive.
