I have tried a few spas in Penang throughout the years. I find Danai spa is one of the good ones especially the Tanjung Bungah park branch. It is a hidden gem. It’s in a bungalow with Baliness ambience. Sadly there’s no more outdoor jacuzzi due to hygiene purpose, thanks to Covid. I have tried their other branches at G hotel, Tanjung Tokong Wellness centre and Eastin hotel but only this branch where I feel like I am in a spa. This branch with a bit of upkeep and maintenance it will be a popular spa spot with tourists and locals alike.
So far no complains with their masseuses. They have been good and consistent. My last masseuse, Lina is commendable and I don’t mind having her again on my next visit.
I used to pay per visit when I was living abroad but since I moved back to Penang I decided to sign up a spa and massage package with Danai. It’s much cheaper that way.
I hope Danai will consider maintaining a branch with Balinese concept instead of changing them all to a Wellness centre which I find looks more like a clinic or a centre.

Another session, another amazing experience! The masseur Lina would check with you if the pressure is enough at the beginning, therefore just the right amount until the end!

Excellent service with great skill in a very cosy environment. Leverage my birthday treat offered by the spa, tried out the hot rock massage. Thanks to May and Monica for such an enjoyable experience. Will surely visit again with friends.

Nice quiet spa off the main road to tanjung tokong. Had Lina as masseuse and she was very attentive. Did spa/massage treatment with my partner and can highly recommend.

I have chosen Straits Peranakan package and the whole session was marvellous which leaves my skin soft, supple and shiny... Hospitality provided by May was superb and she have guided me from the moment i have called in till post session... Monica the therapist's massage and scrubbing was extraordinary.... Overall it was a wholesome experience...

My very first scrubbing and floral bath session was an awesome experience... May has guided us very professionally from booking until the session completion... Josephine the therapist have great experience in massage that has been shown in her work... Definitely will come again for a pleasant relaxation...

Is the jacuzzi all public? Can muslim guests enjoy a private jacuzzi session away from other guests?

Hi Zeynep, yes our outdoor garden jacuzzi are open, if you want to enjoy a private session, we have to block the timing to make sure no other guests during that time when you are using.
Or you may use our indoor hot bath tub inside each spa room for a private session.
