We visited the site after I spotted it on the Map on A Very Dull Misty Chilly Day out researching
the Coast line.It is quite a way from the main road but the access road is ok.Parked up & walked to the building which didn't appear to have Eating
Facilities as not advertised.
We were pleasantly surprised as we went up the stairs to an outer
area for dog walkers.Lovely comfy settee looking out to sea
But no visibility Food was really
Lovely,fresh tasty & very welcome.Pleasant staff ,really enjoyed the visit,pity about the
Weather .Next Day ,,Totally Different but that's lucky of the
Draw.

This place is heaven on earth ! We went 2 evenings in a row with our dog and saw deer , egrets , curlew , dragon flies and obviously all the geese etc . So peaceful . You'll notice all the bad reviews are for the cafe who goes somewhere like this for a cafe ??? You go for the wildlife and beautiful views . Hardly anyone there in the evenings so easy parking and just £2 would recommend this place to everyone I love it

We walked from Ingoldmells to Gibraltar point and back again, 35,000 steps but it was a lovely walk! If we had gotten there before 4 we would have had drinks and food. Its a shame it closes so early even on a Saturday. Views are lovely but there’s not much to do once you get there.

The reserve is nice. However, I have spoken to patrolling staff and was met with very rude, hostile, sexist? and overall uncaring interactions. Sam wasn't interested in what I had to say in relation to a ill-looking sheep on the reserve. He was blunt, rude and had zero regard for the animals welfare

We arrived here not expecting much but it is a beautiful place, lots of easy walks around and plenty of wildlife. we had taken our spotting scope but it only has a small tripod and there was nowhere on the top observation deck to stand it. however there were some great views up here.

We enjoyed a fantastic walk around for a few hours and had the pleasure of seeing the seals on the beach and some deer quite close up , lots of birds too .
Very interesting relaxing and tranquil place away from the bright lights and screams of the town, you almost forget where you are.
Disappointingly it’s not very dog friendly, which lets it down a bit.

Good brews and cakes.

Fantastic little find. We originally went one evening, straight away we saw short eared owls flying about and deer.
We went back during the day and walked round the main reserve from the observatory. On the way out we stopped at North Car, and found a completely different habitat across the road complete with 15 spoonbills!

Wonderful place especially at sunset but if you are walking and visiting hides, please invest in insect repellant. We were eaten alive at the weekend! As it was an impromptu visit we took none, but it's a good thing to have.

Lovely place on the coast. Plenty parking and nice flat walks. Went for bird watching and wildlife. I even saw a muntjac deer as well as a Roe Deer. Lots of birds. The guys from the centre are really helpful on your visit. The board with the sightings is very helpful and guides you to what you actually want to see. Highly recommended

Hi has anybody walked from Gibraltar point to Fresiton shore bird reserve or North camp? Hoping to do it in 2 stages and need to know if there is somewhere to stop on route and park. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Hello, people have left reviews stating great for walking your dogs however the website states dogs only aloud Sept - March.... is this due to certain birds nesting etc?

You can still go to the cafe and have a meal or coffee might need to sit on the terrace ask for a water bowl for the dog. Sorry am sure they have to be careful where dogs are. X

No man built but coastal sands will take you around....would wait till major sea walkway is finished if it was me

I was thinking about taking my mobility scooter if it a long walk round, is it suitable for that?

Hello
The paths are mostly accessible to all. You can certainly get all the way around the reserve on a mobility scooter. If you pop into the Visitor Centre they will give you a map.
