Had an amazing massage from Maria lola.from being greeted at reception and all the way through she made me feel amazing.excellent massage..got rid of lots of tension. Highly recommend

Consider Bannatyne the Ryan Air of spas. Meaning infamous for questionable customer service and on the hunt for opportunities to charge you extra. We gave them a heads up that we would be 10 minutes late due to traffic. The receptionist said it’s okay as long as we accepted that it would eat into our treatment time. We gave the go-ahead. When we arrived at the spa they changed their mind and were reluctant to let us in on the treatment. Additionally they misled us into believing that we could swap it for another date. This turned out impossible just because the manager disapproved. This further took away the time we could have used for the treatment. From being 10 minutes late we ended up being deprived of the entire treatment experience. Overall, they were unwilling to help us. Considering they are in the business to help you wind down, this shows their incompetence in doing precisely that.

Been a member off and on since it opened. I remember how impressive it looked when it first opened. On re-joining recently I’ve noticed it’s starting to look shabby in places, especially the changing rooms-doors are scratched, taps damaged. It wouldn’t be expensive to spruce it up.

Massages are always lovely and every therapist has been great. The pre- treatment relaxation room is definitely rela! I never book full price even with member discount as it doesn’t feel worth it but when massages are on a good offer I would recommend.

So unprofessional Spa manager, very dismissive staff and manager on duty, avoid this place ! Not worth with money at all!

Was really looking forward to the Spa Day and had drove past loads and wanted to try it, but was really disappointed, my treatments were ok but by no means where they the best quality, I would say my massage wasn’t that thorough, and uneven: one side worked on better than the other, as though by half way through the therapist couldn’t be bothered.
I had a manicure and the nail polish was applied when hand cream was still present on my nails, I wish I had said something as I knew the polish wouldn’t stick, and guess what it didn’t and 24 hours later it was a state and not properly set, I swear by the product used as well O.P.I which usually lasts a couple of weeks. Mine was taken off the next day.
We had food and the staff were amazing and welcoming and so were staff when checking in at the main reception. I think the problem might be a lack of Spa management, maybe the therapists need spot checks / observations to ensure they are providing the right standard of quality and professionalism.
Other Spa’s I have been too have been professional from the minute you walk in to leaving, from how guests are welcomed, how the therapists present themselves, interact and communicate to their own self awareness and professional presentation.
It’s a shame because it could be 100% better, maybe it s a luck dip, and I got the wrong therapist on the wrong day!

Do not sign up here for many reasons: health and safety, very poor customer service, and a dangerous lack of PT education.
They are a failing company that does not care about health and safety, customer service, or a quality experience and will ensure you cannot cancel your membership (despite having an awful experience and providing evidence of why I should be able to end my contract).
I came here pregnant and felt unsafe as the weights were never deracked, so I stopped going as I couldn’t lift the weights myself. They will not let me cancel despite being in a cost of living crisis because their company is failing and they need all the money they can get. I know I am not alone in this as a staff member even disclosed to me that another member felt unsafe after going through chemotherapy due to being weak and the weights not being put back.
They also delay resolving issues and complaints you may have until 4pm each working day so nothing ever gets resolved same day, if they even resolve it at all. I have complained 3 times to front of house and gave proactive ways to resolve the issue (such as increase staff presence to derack or to ask for help, more signage) and nothing was ever done.
The staff are also not very well informed about the rules of the club too. I was told I could attend Pilates throughout my pregnancy and I was the rejected publicly by the instructor in front of the whole class and told I am not allowed.
I was also given advice to bench press as part of a fitness plan while pregnant which is extremely dangerous and you should not lay on your back, let alone load weight through your body on your back. PTs should not be allowed to give fitness advice to those who have disabilities or health conditions if they cannot tailor plans to suit their needs.
Not to mention my partner lost his £1000 ring by the lat pull down machine and no one would review CCTV to check for theft or would go the extra mile to assist. They simply don’t care.
I’d go to PureGym every time.

We went as a couple for a spa day. Everything was explained to us about how it all works and where everything was.
We used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna before our treatments. The only criticism is that the changing rooms and pool area all look a bit dated and tired.
As far as the spa treatments went, everything was fantastic. There's a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you enter the spa. The process was explained very clearly and the massage was fantastic! We were looked after by Alex and Lola who were very professional, polite and did an amazing job. We will definitely be returning! Thank you.

My partner and I went for a spa day to unwind as we’d been renovating our house. I’ve been here previously but my partner hadn’t. We had a back and scalp massage booked along with a facial. We had this in the dual treatment room and had Kimberley and Abbie take care of us. It was such a relaxing experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We went for a swim after this and enjoyed time in the jacuzzi and sauna. We will definitely be visiting again in the near future

The lady that did my treatment was absolutely fantastic! made you feel comfortable and welcome and made sure the experience was to your liking and quality. Would highly recommend booking in with Maria! Wonderful service throughout the spa!
