“‪Relaxing day‬”

‪عدت للتو من الاسترخاء في المنتجع الصحي اليوم. فريق العمل ودود للغاية كل مكان من مكتب الاستقبال، مقهى إلى المنتجع الصحي. لقد كنت هنا عدة مرات ولكن يجب أن أقول التي تناولت أفضل العودة مرة أخرى، تدليك عنق من بيث اليوم، مع جميل معالجة الوجه. جاء تماما الشعور بالرفاهية والاسترخاء. قيمة ممتازة، بالتأكيد سوف نعود .‬

‪كان هناك 3 وعلاجات الكتف، العنق & تدليك الظهر وبار صغير - وعلاجات تدليك الرأس، كلها كانت لطيفة بالفعل. أحسست بشعور الاسترخاء بعد ذلك أحببنا حقا وغرفة استرخاء مع أسرّة بالحجارة الساخنة. أشعر أن الهواتف يتعين حظر من هناك، على الرغم من ذلك، كما الوهج تقطع للاسترخاء. أيضاً درجة أولى، التي كانت جيدة جداً. ذهبت إلى حمام السباحة في حمام السباحة، لكن موسيقى صاخبة للغاية مزدحم للغاية على درجة أولى، لذا لقد ذهبنا إلى ساونا وغرفة بخار. غرف تبديل الملابس كافية، ولكنه بحاجة إلى تجديد. كل فريق العمل كان لطيفاً للغاية، كل شيء كان يوم رائع.‬

‪Ashford staff are rude and poorly trained‬

‪Staff in Ashford are very rude and poorly trained. I asked for the wrist band account I had created with funds on it to be closed and the funds refunded. Staff told me only the General Manager knew how to do this, but after smiling at each other and humiliating me by continually pointing out the amount to each other, they told me I could spend the money instead then they could close the account.‬

‪I wouldn't bother‬

‪I wish I had read the reviews before booking because the timing of the massage was cut short as advised on here. Had a booking for 16.15 and the therapist showed at 16.20 with no apology. She advised she had to get the room ready when I expected this to have already happened. She then disappeared for over 5 mins whilst I had to move from a vertical position to a horizontal one. I questioned the therapist asking if she was going to make up the time and she advised she wasn't running late. So, I had a 30 min massage in a booked timeslot of 45 mins. 10/10 for the massage if you don't mind getting conned/lied to.

The Sauna/steam room and Jacuzzi were nice but I feel couples need to refrain from kissing/cuddling making others feel uncomfortable when entering a Jacuzzi.

There isn't enough sun loungers either - two to be precise.

Check out the aqua class timings before your visit otherwise you subjected to v loud music in the pool.
I will not be returning.‬

‪Relaxation lounge was lovely but noise from gym next door with sound of weights being dropped to the floor made it difficult to properly relax. Treatments were nice, back, head and feet massage. The cafe was OK, very reasonably priced though staff clearly not happy in their work showing a "I don't want to be here" attitude. The pool was so cold so didn't stay in there too long. Sauna and steam rooms were good but one of the two very small Jacuzzis were broken. There was only 2 loungers around the pool and they were quite weathered. Changing rooms, lockers, showers and vanity areas (all with hairdryers) were very good standard. There was a janitor busily going about her duties and this area was kept very clean. Sadly, on waking at home the next day, I had a skin rash over my torso, arms and legs. Looks like a cross between a boil and spots (raised, red with white heads...looks like large insect bites) which I know to be the result of unbalanced pH levels in Jacuzzis and hot tubs. Would we return? I don't think so, very tired and in need of tlc attention around the pool area and the majority of staff (not all) need some " ooompf "‬

‪Don’t bother!!‬

‪My daughter and 1 had a spa experience package through virgin. What a let down! The facilities (pool etc) are run down and dirty. The spa treatments weren’t great. The therapists seemed like they couldn’t be bothered and it was the poorest massages myself and my daughter have ever had. Spend your money elsewhere as there are much better places in Ashford.‬

‪Rubbish

Therapist never turned up so we could not have the treatments we had already paid for. Not even offered a refund!

Average facilities at best - very dirty in places (floor area by swimming pools etc)

2 worn out loungers only

Other members there constantly moaning by how downhill the resort has gone.

There are much better spas available elsewhere.

This is the second time we have endured poor a experience - not to be done again‬

‪I received a Red Letter Day voucher for Christmas so decided to use it at Banantynes in Ashford for a spa day for me and my partner (paid £10 extra).

Booked online which was ok but like all Red letter days its a long process. Anyway booked treatments for 11.30 for myself and partner (didn’t state we would be in the same room but we was).. we arrived and were shown where everything was and was offered a spa bag but I didn’t bother as no one was walking around in robes (not sure how much extra they were).. we were given bands for lockers (if you forget number there is a machine to tell you what locker you are using the band). Changing rooms were good with everything you would need and there was a really friendly cleaner in there who was so helpful (we went on a Saturday so was busy with gym goers).

The pool area is not spa like at all more like a swimming bars there is a towel holder but no loungers. The pool is cold so you don’t want to stay in it long and the hot tub is tiny so if anyone else gets in it’s awkward (also looks so old). The steam room and sauna were good but after arriving at 10am we were done in the pool area by 10.40am. We got out got dressed and went to the cafe (Starbucks) and had a drink and waited until 5 mins before our spa and went up to the spa area, we were greeted and sat in the waiting room which was relaxing and then taken to our treatments (facial/massage) all very nice but no water was offered which is usually done after a treatment at a spa. We was also recommended products at the end which we could purchase but didn’t. All in all was good but definitely couldn’t spend a day there and wasn’t really a spa but it used the voucher up!‬

‪False advertisement‬

‪I have visited the spa on two separate occasions (one as a complimentary day from the General Manager).
I was fired a Virgin Experience spa day which included a treatment and I paid to receive a second treatment for myself and daughter.
The staff called us late and then wasted time looking for the pre treatment forms and finding the correct therapists. They then knocked this lateness and wasted time OFF the treatment time meaning my time was cut short my 30 minutes.

I complained and the spa manager only responded once via email and I had to escalate to the GM to try and resolve the issue. Which she did I was offered another day at the spa with a 25 minute treatment.

Although I felt the offer of 25 minute treatment was what I was already owed (bear in mind I’m owed 30) , they did offer a free lunch and use of the facilities.

I had a nice day until it got to the treatment. Again, therapists arrived late and my massage lasted 16 minutes. I didn’t relax because I was so conscious of the time and that I had been collected late so knew what was likely to happen.

Again I lodged a complaint and nearly two weeks later have been offered a 15 minute upgrade on another voucher I have (which I will NOT be using). I’m still owed time from the original time’

They also said they’ll speak to the staff but this was promised on the first visit so it seems the practice is at management direction.

I am flabbergasted by the way the company are falsely advertising treatment time, lack of transparency and mostly the fact they are continuing in ripping people off and deliberately shortening the advertised treatment times.

I have advised Virgin Experience Days that this club (not sure if it is a company wide issue) are falsely advertising services. I have never been on any spa day for times to be cut short for ANY reason. It starts when the therapist puts hands on your body.

Avoid this company‬

‪My husband booked us a spa day and I have to say it was absolutely amazing, we hired out robes, towels and flip flops which was £36, but you get £20 refunded when you hand it back in.
The relaxation area was fabulous, the reclining beds were heated and we were in there for about 10 minutes prior to treatments. My husband had a back and leg massage and I had a back massage and facial. My therapist was Mollie and my husbands was Niamh, both girls were lovely and extremely professional, they made us feel completely welcome and totally at ease. We will definitely be going back!‬

‪Excellent, no complaints‬

‪It was my 1st time at Bannatynes. I booked in for three treatments. I had Sophie as my therapist who was absolutely lovely. I had a body scrub, a back massage and a facial. It was all amazing, can't fault it, like seriously I can't. Yes it was loud because of the gym but fortunately I'm autistic and I was able to almost put the bangs in with the relaxing music and they almost became a pattern in my head so it didn't bother me as much as it seems to with some people haha I don't know how Sophie copes having to listen every day though lol

Yes it would be nice if it was completely relaxing but it is what it is. You know when you book that it's a health club too so I went fully prepared. I didn't eat there or use any other facilities so can't comment on anything else.‬
