Visited today, Sunday lunchtime. Barmaid was rude and told me the Doom Bar was off. She couldn't be bothered to tell me what else was on offer. She then unbelievably took off for a cigarette break and left the bar unattended for 10 minutes. Will neve return.

A great pub back in the day just been taken over by new management. Great staff, great beer, with a huge beer garden out the back. Couldn’t recommend enough, will definitely be returning

Lovely pub, amazing beer garden. Staff are attentive and efficient couldn’t recommend more either for pre game drinks or for an evening out

Visit this pub for a pre-match drink with friends. sent the beer back last week; the one that replaced it was no better. This week no Ale on whatsoever!
Whoever owns this lovely old pub needs to find a suitable manager to run the place. You could hardly blame the two fellas in the back room who decided to bring their own whisky. Eventually they got so drunk they proceeded to abuse the rapidly declining customers.

Been coming to this pub for as long as I can remember, pre-match, for a drink of excellent Ales. Last visit all the beers were 'flat' and generally poorly kept; such a shame!

Popped in here Sunday afternoon with my wife and children, the service was quite slow but eventually got served and moved into the pool room . In here it was full rowdy delinquents burping and being hideously vulgar and the smell in there was grotesque!!! So, we moved outside to the beer garden where we witnessed the bar staff being very cruel to an poor elderly gentleman in a wheelchair. This was the last straw, we drank up and left and will not return!!

Nice pub, shame about the bar staff. Awful attitude, unwelcoming, ruins the atmosphere. Never again.

The brewery are being extremely short sighted with how they are running this once amazing community pub. The brewery has hired bouncers to chuck families out at 7 even though the license is until 9. This pub can more than accommodate every local who wishes to drink here. The bouncers are rude. I feel for the landlord who has been given 2 weeks notice which is clearly a result of the area manager thinking with their groin and bringing a new landlady in. It’s a crying shame. I will never go there ever again and it’s been my favourite pub for over 20 years. It’ll be closed down and made into flats before we know it. Absolutely heartbreaking. Shame on you Craft Union. SHAME ON YOU.

You had a 3 man band about 2 years ago that played piano and clarinet etc
Apparently they were a regular event
