Had a great trip out here today and used the cafe for a coffee and had a browse around the farm and shop. Came away with some good meat options for din dins!

Visited today with a friend for afternoon tea. Booking is essential as this is quite a small cafe. However, absolutely well worth the visit. We both had vegetarian afternoon tea - lovely freshly made sandwiches, fantastic home made cheese and onion quiche and veg sausage roll. On to the puddings - fruit trifle, clotted cream and ham scones, brownie, lemon cake and unlimited tea. Well worth the price.
The service was excellent as was the quality. Certainly better than cheaper afternoon teas. We will visit again.
We then visited the shop and garden centre where there are unusual gift ideas and a great range of food items.

The cafe seating area is disappointingly small. Opted for a cuppa here rather than motorway services as it was conveniently close but it was too crowded for comfort. Good cakes and quick service though.

PRICE: free entry to the farm
EXPERIENCE: decided to spend my Saturday morning browsing the farm shop at Kenyon Hall Farm! The shop is smaller than the farm shops I’ve visited but still packed with goodies, a lot of them hand grown/homemade at the farm itself! I was particularly impressed with the homemade soup they had for sale, in sealed bags from an independent seller, I can’t wait to try it! I liked the mini gin and vodkas they had at the farm shop, they would make wonderful little ‘pick me ups’ for friends, or a little treat for yourself! I did purchase some fresh fruit too, which again I can’t wait to try and I hope they taste as delicious as they look. I like shopping in farm shops purely because you know exactly what you’re getting and where it has come from as opposed to chain supermarkets, I think everyone should shop small and independent, when they can. I loved the ‘homemade at Kenyon Hall Farm’ section, filled with homemade Oils, chutneys, marmalades, jams, spices, gins and vodkas! One of my favourite things on sale here, was the dried flowers.. that would look gorgeous in a clear vase on the dining room table, and they can last for up to one year! Overall, it was a wonderful morning and I can’t wait to visit again soon.

Just a few minutes from the M6, this proved an ideal pitstop on our long journey. We arrived just in time to order from the breakfast menu as that finishes at 11.30. The full English for my husband and Eggs Benedict for me. Good portion sizes and not long to wait. Both meals were nicely cooked and presented. Service was very pleasant. The indoor seating area is quite small so I guess at busy times you might have to wait.
Lunch is served 11.45 - 3 pm. Mostly sandwiches, paninnis, baked potatoes, soup etc. nice selection of cakes.

A couple without kids......this was not a cosy lunch for two! We have been several times before and enjoyed breakfast, or lunch served at the little indoor cafe. Today Food was nice and served hot, portions were meagre and served in takeaway boxes rather than the plates we had on our last visit! And 2 jacket spuds (small) with two fillings and a bit of salad (£8 each) , 1 coffee and 1 large matchbox sized slice of lemon cake (£3.49) all came to over £22.00 .....I think it was expensive.
Very busy and only has outdoor seating....which does have some heaters, but theres no indoor seating now.... whether that changes I dont know....they seem to provide mainly for families with children doing the experience of the farm (pumpkins at the moment). Its obviously a good earner.
So we may not return for a while.

I absolutely love this little farm. It's certainly not the biggest so you can't spend a whole day here, and obviously it doesn't have any animals, but it's just so cosy and welcoming. Also, don't even get me started on the food!! Truth be told I would come purely just for the steak and ale pie and brownies alone. They are just wow. Even just the jacket potatoes are delicious! We have been to the maize farm and we have also been pumpkin picking and had such wonderful fun experiences both times.

We took our 18 month old daughter to the maize maze during August bank holiday and she loved it (so did we). We will definitely return next year and hope the sunflowers will be there again as they looked stunning! We arrived early so it was nice and quiet which was perfect for my daughter as it meant she could run around without banging into people but even so the maze was big enough that it wouldn’t have been a problem had more people been there at the time.

The farm shop, cafe, plant centre and play area are open every day of the year (except a few days at Christmas). Our pick your own fruit fields open at the end of June and stay open for the summer. Details of what fruits can be picked and when are available on our website, which we update every day.

Are dogs allowed to pumpkin picking?
Hi, unfortunately hygiene regulations prohibit us from allowing dogs in the pumpkin patches, play area, farm shop or cafe. We're happy for you to bring your dog to the grass car park and/or the designated area outside the cafe. Thank you.

How much is it to pick strawberries and when does the season finish?

It is free to go there and enter the fields pick strawberries (and all other fruit & veg), you just pay for the cost of you collect based on the weight. If you don't collect anything it's completely free. I would say the prices do work out higher than supermarket equivalents, but considering the experience involved it is well worth it.
