Today I was having a god awful day! But I can honestly say the staff just made it a million times better!
Firstly I had a rather rude driver getting close to the back of my car. I’m only 22 and haven’t been driving long. I was panicking as I couldn’t get my car in the space.
One member of the car parking staff asked me to roll down my window. He asked if I was okay. I simply explain I really was struggling to park my car. So he kindly asked the driver behind to back up and I would have another space which was easier to get into. I honestly have never have someone do this! I was so grateful, he was so kind. And when I thanked him he simply said “now go and have a good day.” I didn’t get his name but it was round 11:50. He was wearing a Christmas hat! Rather tall, no facial hair!
Then in new look, I had a lovely lady go and get me another size so my Nan could remain seated outside the changing rooms (her mobility is limited.) She was late 30’s, short blonde hair and glasses. And simply just said “that’s what I’m here for!”
And the young lady who was brunette and also wearing glasses. Forgot to put my student discount on so ran after us to sort it! Most places don’t even have a discount nor care if they put it on. I could see it was stressful to sort but she was adamant to sort it. And because it took a little while she discounted it a little more than the 10%!
I honestly couldn’t believe it! We will definitely be returning. The value of the carpark is phenomenal also!

Positives:
1. Decent shops.
2. Free parking on Sundays.
Negatives:
1. Gangs of children causing trouble. (Other parts of town also).
2. Play Gym - Watched a man use his mobile to take photo/s (hopefully innocently) despite clear signage. Staff absent doing other things. (Perhaps - understaffed). Other parents gawked at their mobiles instead of supervising their own children.
3. Only small percentage of people (customers and staff) wore facemasks.
4. Some of the unmasked thought it funny to cough on masked.
5. Unmasked woman tried to get in lift with us. (Again, despite clear signage on door stating one family at a time.)
Sadly, more negatives than positives and mainly due to other customers rather than staff.

Visited today, luckily only needed to visit one shop.
Golden square Staff were not all wearing face masks and enforcement of people who are flouting the rules was not dealt with.
What's wrong with positive enforcement of the rules. Shop staff were in the main very well masked up,
Until the GS management deal effectively with these issues, I won't be going back.

I enjoy coming here as I know most of the shops are wheelchair friendly. There’s free parking for placard holders, lifts and accessible toilets. The floor is easy to push on and there’s plenty of room between shops.
The lush store here is fantastic, the staff are so wonderful, helpful and friendly - nothing is too much trouble.
At the time the store was quite busy so a staff member approached and asked if I needed any help. After listening to my needs they went about the store with a basket and brought back items to me and gave me tips on how to use them - something you don’t get online.
They also asked if I wanted them to wear a mask (at time of writing they’re not mandatory) which I felt was very thoughtful.
There’s also a great place to get your brows done, you can stay in your chair. I know I’ll be back here soon.

Well,me my wife and 2 autistic kids took a trip into golden square for the day.The shopping centre Is an average one,but quite a few shops that were shut at the time,all's good until one of our kids needed the toilet.we went down the escalator and into the men's toilet,someone turned on one of the dryers and he screamed at how loud it was,and he had to use the toilet in Costa because he was too scared to use the main ones,plz look into this as we are looking at coming here for around Christmas time

I visited the Golden Square shopping centre today whilst out for lunch in Warrington. There is a decent selection of shops here for what is a relatively small shopping centre. It has a number of key brands, such as Primark, New Look, Boots etc. The shopping centre is kept nice and tidy and the shops themselves are mostly well presented. There is also a Costa Coffee and a Starbucks, if you want to grab a coffee and plenty of benches located around the shopping centre to take a seat. The shopping centre is also very easy to access - the car park has four floors of parking in total and parking is relatively cheap. The Golden Square can also be accessed easily by bus, as there is a bus station essentially joined to the place. The only issue with the Golden Square is that it seems far quieter now its anchor tenant (Debenhams) has sadly closed its doors, which leaves a big gaping hole in the shopping centre. Sad times.
All in all, the Golden Square is a good place to shop if you're in Warrington. Give it a try! Would recommend.

Amazing place
The only thing wrong is that it needs a bigger river island. Everywhere is clean, the staff are nice.

Great shopping centre both inside and outside, just a shame that there’s only 1 set of toilets on the inside of the shopping centre!

A good shopping complex with all the usual high street shops. Very clean and pleasant for walking round. Like how they have incorporated the old central station.

I travelled on the no. 7 bus from Queens Square Liverpool to Warrington Bus Station. I was surprised by the size of the bus station itself. Just a short walk from the station took me into the town centre. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and how well kept all the areas I visited yesterday were. I found a stone carving of the Mad Hatters Tea Party not far from the town centre, which was very impressive. There are the usual high street shops in the town centre. I found the indoor market, which has shrunk somewhat, but enjoyable to view what was on display . There were no market outside stalls. The town centre has changed so much, but I would say for the better. There are plenty of places to have a meal or snack, hot and cold drinks too.
