We paid an overdue visit to the Pannier Market in Tavistock and a great selection of goods are available. Plenty of choice with something for all. Many independent stall holders who have made many of the available items. Lovely local eatery as well as well as spotlessly clean toilets. Well worth a visit in my view.

Easy to get table. Service reasonable . Long wait for food. Salad really limp soggy, and well past it's best. Baked potato small and dried up. Prices much higher than previous visit. Disappointed

I visited in a rainy day, just to keep dry!
But it was serendipitous, because this market is superb.
There are lots of sellers, arts and crafts, shoes and signs, food and collectibles.
The prices are fair, the stall holders helpful, and it’s in a superb building - and free!

Great range of things to browse. Vibrant atmosphere and lots of arts and crafts. We haven't visited for a few years and found it has improved from an already very high standard. The addition of Butchers Hall as a venue is a bonus.
Nice places to eat too.

Lovely market shops we liked Bertie’s brews cafe as our dog is called Bertie they have themes throughout the year including the goose fair lovely stuff at a reasonable price you need to try the fudge as you enter the market not cheap but the best you can get

The market is very good as is the Butchers Hall which has been preserved and repurposed. A great area in a nice town.

This was such a lovely find while holidaying in the area and was full of craft and independent stalls. Around the outside were cafes and specialist food places. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying nearby.

Just fabulous!!!
I love shopping in Tavistock. Beautiful place and the people are so friendly and helpful.
Myself and my sister bought some lovely, original pieces there this week in the Pannier Market.
I mislaid a purchase somewhere in Tavistock.
Fortunately, I had taken a card from Philip King 'Rusty Relics'.
He was super helpful and went over and above trying to help me locate.
Am so pleased to say, that due to the honesty and kindness of the people of Tavistock my purchase has been found!

We visited Tavistock on a Saturday morning. The Pannier Market was busy, with a good variety of stalls. Lots of local artists and crafts people were there along with some local produce. The market itself was very light and airy. Around the market was a range independent cafes and food shops. There was a very good fabric and wool shop. Well worth a visit.

There isn't actually a food market day. There are number of concessions inside the main hall and a cafe plus a number of shops outside in the main on the eastern side. these include a cheese shop, a Mediterranean shop , a health food shop and several others
Is it open bank holidays? Xx
