A beautiful well preserved early Victorian church still with box pews, stained glass, frescoes and monuments to the Clifton family that once owned Lytham.

Although not overly religious, I do love church, architecture etc. The outside is nothing outstanding but I was particularly taken with the interior. Even a burn-jones stained glass window.

Over the Xmas period my partner and I sought a church in which to pray for deceased family members and light a candle in memoriam.
Despite arriving at the door as the church was being closed up following a formal service we were immediately shown to a quiet place to pray and offer a devotional candle.The Ministers then waited quietly and patiently for us until we completed this activity. They shook our hands and wished us well as we left.
We are needless to say, very grateful to the clergy of St Cuthberts for their kindness and courtesy.

Stunning Church steeped in history, explore the old graves many dating back hundreds of years or sit on a bench and watch the world go by as you get lost in your thoughts!

The church is a lovely early 19th Century building with a very interesting graveyard with the graves of important people in the local area from decades ago.

Lovely church with an interesting graveyard out of sight behind it. The cross shown in picture is along the main road a short way and marks the place St Cuthbert paused on his pilgrimage

Although I’m not a church goer I attended a funeral here and did think that it was a nice church and well looked after.

Stop using St. Cuthberts Cross on the same page as they are not connected. The church and the cross are half a mile apart. St Cuthbert never came anywhere near Lytham living or dead St Cuthbert was Anglican if anything and the church is Methodist. Go Figure.
This is a church not a tourist attraction. It shouldn't be features on trip adviser.

The actual outside has dark red brick with sandstone dressings making it rather attractive in appearance. The architecture is lovely inside with the tower housing a ring of eight bells, hung in a wooden frame. As well as the graveyard there is a sandstone pedestal sundial. The cross/resting place of St Cuthbert is not in the church grounds and is located about 100yards away for all passers by to see - with a bench if you need a rest?

Beautiful church and sacred space . A delight welcoming and friendly place of worship .community fridge open to anyone , just help yourself . Giving and taking food through donations , to avoid food waste .
