I was given this as a birthday gift from my partner, the location was great, the shows were fab and very informative, the birds well behaved lol, the owl experience was certainly worth it, I am a massive lover of owls anyway so for me it was the best day ever. We were made to feel very welcome by all the team. Woild highly recommended and I will be going back again.

A fantastic place to visit, all the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. The talks & shows were educational, interesting and the 3pm show was particuarly spectacular! Food and drinks are available on site, indoor & outdoor seating, a childrens play area, lots of free parking, a gift shop and many different birds of prey as well as other animals to admire. Gauntlet allows you to leave and re-enter as many times as you want on the day of your visit so inbetween the scheduled shows you can also visit the garden centre next door. The outdoor shows arena has wooden benches and is uncovered so be prepared for whatever weather you might experience on the day of your visit.

A must visit if you are into your wildlife and in particular birds. You cant beat a day at this place. I stayed here for most of the day taking in, the talk about the vultures which are a dying breed; a brief display and a introduction to a few of the birds before then big finale at the end of the day with the release of over 25 birds to music.
Very entertaining and loved every minute but please do be aware that the birds do fly over your head and quite close, as well walk amongst you if they get close.
The birds and other animals are well looked after and the staff are amazing. Excellent rapport with the birds and people alike, with great understanding knowledge of the species living within. In addition show alot dedication to the job.
Food and drink are available in a small cafe within the grounds.

I was lucky enough to be given a Falconry Experience. A brilliant half day of handling and flying birds - very educational.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely do it again.

Brilliant place to visit. Wasn't too keen at first because I assumed it was majestic birds in cages unable to fly like they should do. How wrong I was. Consider myself re educated on conservation and just how commited the staff are. Won't spoil the 3 o clock show for people who haven't been before but I will say that it took my breath away and I came away with a completely different view than when I arrived and will be going back again for the full day experience asap.

AMAZING!
Honestly it was fantastic, enjoyed visiting here and we stayed around 4hours!
The animals are certainly looked after and cared for by all the staff.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. The gentleman at the front door is a breath of fresh air and is such a hard worker!
All the shows we watched where brill and the staff are so knowledgeable.
The final flight of the day was amazing and a must see 😍
We will certainly visit again!

Amazing place, amazing bird show (the last one evening made me cry) absolutely amazing

Great day out for my 5 and 3 year old boys. Big fans of the lappet faced vultures (from the Julia Donaldson “The Ugly Five”) and the owls. Charlie in the cafe gave us excellent customer service and the boys enjoyed their kids lunchboxes. We will be back

My 3rd time visiting, we were passing so took my daughter and grandchildren , staff are excellent, and very pleasant, its great to see the flying of all show at end. Birds are superbly kept and staff certainly are knowledgeable.A park area for the younger children, a cafe in which chalie makes the freshest sandwiches ever lol

Stopped off for what we thought would be 30 minutes max. How wrong we were. Spent nearly 4 hours here admiring the fantastic collection of birds they have. Much bigger than anticipated and great shows included in the very reasonable price. Jake was very informative throughout the shows

To be honest I don’t know for sue but I would doubt it. The free bird display has the birds flying close by, I had a vulture sat on the bench next to me at one point, and a dog wouldn’t be compatible with that I’m afraid. I’ve been a few times and haven’t seen any dogs. Sorry.
Is it good for 15 and 17 ur old?

There are picnic benches and they are happy for you bring your own food. There is also a shop selling souvenirs, sweets, drinks and ice cream.

Yes. The flying arena is outside. With benches but no overhead shelter from any rain.

My family (2 parents, 2 teens) will be visiting this part of England in May, and Gauntlet Birds of Prey has been on our destination wish list since we started planning our trip. But because of scheduling issues, it looks like we may have only a few hours open in the earlier part of the morning or in the evening. Does anyone know whether experiences can be scheduled outside the center's normal opening hours?
