Had a gin experience and afternoon tea gifted, it was a great fun and a fascinating way to spend a few hours, the gin tasting was interesting. Engaging staff, good food, nice setting nothing not to like. Would definitely do it again.
Our favourite Gin was Rhubarb and Custard which we took a bottle home and some miniatures to give to work colleagues to try.

On arrival we were greeted with a smile and jovial banter which helped us relax and settle into our gin school experience. All staff members were welcoming and encouraged us to enjoy our time while offering help and advice when required. The overall experience was great and we would advise anyone to give it a go.

My wife bought me this as a Birthday present and I certainly wasn’t disappointed as the whole experience totally exceeded all of my expectations.
Damian at front of house did a great job of introducing the school to everyone and a also explained a little history about the glorious old building, then Sally who was very professional, showed us with great expertise the art of gin making and even better how to create our own brand by adding various ingredients, really amazing experience and not to be missed if you enjoy a tipple of gin.

Fantastic experience! From the very start Damian was engaging and personable. Sally really knew her stuff and her passion shows! The gin school was so cool, with Sally on hand to help out and answer questions. Having your own personal bottle of gin to take home at the end of it all is such a unique souvenir! Would 100% recommend!

I booked the gin making course for myself as it was something I had always wanted to do. Initially I felt a bit odd as most people were there with a family member but within minutes the 1st G&T kicked in and we were all chatting/laughing like old friends.
The course was fantastic. Sally (gin-maker in chief) was very informative and helpful.
At the end of a great afternoon I left clutching my own flavoured gin plus a few other purchases.
A must-do activity for gin lovers. I will be rebooking for next year!

This was a fantastic afternoon! Great hosts,very personable and informative. Complimentary gins throughout the afternoon were all fantastic and promptly supplied. We loved creating our own gin and met some lovely people in our group, can't wait to come again and will be recommending to all our friends!

Spent a wonderful few hours starting with a gorgeous afternoon tea. There was plenty to eat and it all looked and tasted amazing, we even bougt some home. The hosts were so informative, helpful and such genuinely lovely people. We then went to the gin school learning all about how they make gin and finally we got to make our own. We were kept well lubricated with gin an tonics, which were fabulous (and I tried almost all of them). The experience was so good, we are planning to go back again and would highly recommend it to everyone. Word of warning- get a taxi!!!!

This is an unhurried adventure into the world of gin. Rather than have staff members, you are treated to Sally, the developer of their gin collection. Passion is clear, sharing of knowledge unrestricted and skill in abundance. Many others have described the day, just leaves me to say this is one of the rare places where I want to do it all again, which is strange because you think once you have done it, tick and move on. I want to make more gins with different flavours to the one I made so a return or few will be on the cards. I could make all sorts of comments about how to improve this and that but it’s their business, run the way they want and it works, well done Sally and Damion. P.S. Damion had to move my car, the only other person allowed to drive it (apart from my wife) since I bought it, that’s high praise from a petrol and gin head.👍😀

On arrival, we were greeted by the distilleries owner, Sally, who was our tutor & guide for the evening.
We were taken into the distillery & shown how Gin is produced & packaged.
During the whole of the evening, Sally kept us refreshed, allowing us to try various BSD Gins.
After seeing the distillery, we then went on to choose our own ingredients & Sally advised us as to how much was required to add to flavour our own Gin.
Then we proceded to add our ingredients to our very own distillers & waited for the Gin ferment.
The taste was actually really nice & dry.
It needs a lot more description putting down about this experience.
So my advice is to give it a go & I'm sure you'll love the evening as much as my wife & I did.

What a fantastic experience. The school started with a tour and overview of the history of BSD including the background and naming of the still. Followed by the gin distilling experience. Sally and Damion are incredible hosts and you hear and are taught by Sally the owner. The experience isn’t rushed and Gins are free flowing throughout. So love BSD it will be exciting to see how they continue to grow and expand this fantastic business which really is a treasure in the local community.

The distillery is not a pop in bar anymore but if you were coming for an experience we would welcome support dogs :-)
