I returned here recently to celebrate a birthday with family and we took out a kart each with only the four of us being on the track for two 15 minute sessions.
This was the first time I had been back in years and I wasn’t disappointed. I like an outdoor track and this one is a good size with plenty of run offs around the track.
The staff were friendly and got us sorted quickly and were helpful when we wanted to change the set up after the first session.
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I felt the karts are looking a bit tired and old. I started in a double kart with my 10 year old and had previously done the same at a Lincoln go kart track. The Lincoln one was newer, quicker and better to drive. This was between an adult and child kart for speed and looked old and in need of updating.
The other karts were quick enough but again would benefit from updating.
I wouldn’t let this prevent you going as we had a great morning at what is a good track

Just got back from the 2022 speed weekend ( whats this got to do with karting you ask ? )
one weekend in July about 150 paintball players meet up and have a full weekend of karting bbq and of course paintball plus airsoft if we feel inclined as well.
So made my way up from Cornwall with a nice 350 mile drive to get to the camp site and set up.
Clean and toilets / washing facilities in the camping area.
friday consisted of meeting old and new faces at the safe zone have a few warm up cames in the woods prior to the Saturday main events .
Saturday morning a nice relaxed atmosphere follow by team briefs and a safety meeting with the Marshalls of the weekend ( Going Postal scenario paintball ) and at lunch time the owner had a Mech tournament in the tyre zone ... 18 three man teams playing off to the last two and final game.
After the games then we had time to clean up and get ready for the BBq and Karting .
Sunday started with a massive breakfast and raffle in the morning then on to the big game for the rest of the day.
awards presentation and results of the winning tean started about 16.30 then it was pack up the camping gear and a nice 350 mile drive home.
Was it worth driving 700 miles for a weekends paintball ... you bet
Will I go again ?? Tickets already booked and paid for and roll on July 2023.
Thank you to all the Marshalls for looking out for us and the owner for laying on a fantastic weekend again.
see you all again next year :-)

First time karting with the children (8 and 9), facilities are good but the staff were great! Our daughter was upset and scared when she got in the kart, Robert spent a good ten minutes patiently going over all of the controls and building her confidence until she felt ready to go out on the track - she thoroughly loved it!

Took my son and friends for a laser tag party, the staff were fantastic with them, from treating a minor scrape on a knee to letting it run a little later to allow a late attendee to join in. Staff were great with all the kids and would definitely return. All kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

My son loves it. Its worth getting membership card if you go quite ofter. Amazing experience for the kids. Helpful staff

Customer service was fantastic, the facilities were immaculate and the track was very well organised and first class.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at Ancaster
had a weekend ticket for the speed paintball and arrived to a nice well kept organised camp site Friday evening.
toilet blocks cleaned out regularly and hot water available
Drinking water available from the standpipe .
So Friday evening was spent setting up and chatting away to fellow paintballer on the field ( this was the now famous speed weekend and have attended four of the last five weekends ) and come Saturday it was all hands on deck as there were matches and round robins going on all day ..
again time for a chat during lunch and visited the new airsoft shop Mark has installed during the lockdown,our side ( paintball) we had trade tents in the safe zone so no excuse not to buy any new toys.
Saturday evening consisted of a race night on the karting circuit follow by a few beers and food.
Sunday was the main day of paintball and over a 100 players having a great day in the woods and speedball field.
after a full days play then there was a presentation for the winning team to end the day.
looking forward to next year and if you are in two minds to visit Ancaster then do not worry as they cater for all age groups and party sizes .

My son had a birthday party at Ancaster karting last year and as of lockdown we haven’t been able to go back however the times we were there were amazing.
The staff were so helpful as I am a worrier and was cautious about my son and his friends, however, the staff were so reassuring and guided me to peace of mind. The children had a safety video before the session and this also showed the dangers and the sense of accomplishment that they can have of doing it successfully. When my child and his friends got on the track the instructor told them what to do and they were off.
They had the best time of their life and we will 110% be going back shortly when every thing opens back up again.
