We made our first visit today from Stamford and wished we had done so 10 years ago! - it’s beautiful. It’s like visiting a private garden (albeit on a huge scale) rather than something that is open to the public and this makes for a unique experience. Great care has been taken in the organisation - signage / lovely gift shop / very pretty courtyard coffee area…..the list goes on! - we became members and will now make up for lost time!

Beautifully landscaped gardens restored to their original state- Autumn colours spectacular!
I was surprised how extensive they are! We were disappointed only to be offered cake in the lovely cafe- we expected to have lunch there- but it has only a tiny kitchen!

We received a Gift Voucher for a Cream Tea and Entrance so drove to Easton Walled Garden. We had a coffee in the Court Yard and enjoyed the sunshine.
We took our free map and set off to explore. Sadler the rain came so our exploring was curtailed. The grass became very slippery underfoot. We took shelter in the outside covered seating area by the Apple Store. There are no toilets there so you have to go back to the Court Yard for the facilities there.
As the weather had turned awful we weren’t able to enjoy a Cream Tea as they closed at 3pm. However, we were offered a scone and a slice of cake and two bottles of Ginger a beer to take home. - really disappointing.
The staff were really friendly, the Court Yard Shop had some nice things on sale.
Not sure that we would repeat the visit despite not seeing everything - Parking was ok and the toilet block was clean. I think the Cream Tea could be enhanced especially as most places offer a little more than a cake or scone plus a cup of tea. It’s all in the name!

Visited on one of the August ‘dog days’. I live locally but have never been before because I always walk places where my dogs can go. Really enjoyable few hours, lots of well behaved dogs and beautiful gardens to enjoy. Ended with tea and chocolate cake. Will definitely be back next year if the ‘dog days’ return!

Lovely coffee and cake in a beautiful environment. The sweet peas were still out and smelling fantastic. Garden is always beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Plenty to look at, and a fab shop for plants and gifts. I managed to get some Japanese stationery from here.

I arranged to meet here as a halfway point with my cousin. I knew nothing about the place at all before visiting apart from what I could find out from the website.
We were both very pleasantly surprised to find lovely gardens and I was delighted to find a lovely range of plants to inspire ideas for my garden. The sweet pea season started at the end of June and I was pleased to find them still growing strong and tall when I visited today.
There is some shade to be had on the walk around, mostly under evergreens that run along the edges of the garden and there is a lovely avenue of trees at he bottom end that would give shade on the hottest of days.
There was a lovely shop selling items including plants, pots and garden decorations and the little coffee shop was lovely with seating outside. Both the shop and the coffee shop aren’t cheap, so if I had visited with my three (now grown up) children, I would have packed a picnic to have on the lovely big lawn. The toilets are well kept and clean.
The site isn’t huge, we spent 3 very pleasant hours walking, taking photos and having a chat over a pot of tea.
The Cholmeley Arms pub is a 3 mile/9 min drive away and it has an excellent menu. I can recommend the Superfood Salad and my cousin enjoyed the steak and chips, cooked just how he asked and with a side of chunky chips, a huge mushroom and a side salad.
We had a lovely day out and I am happy to recommend that you do the same!

The gardens are quite small and unless you spend time in the cafe then it won’t take you long to walk round them. Pretty but not large enough to justify the admission price.

Fabulous ! Stunning, well planned and planted gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. An oasis of beauty and tranquility. Wonderful holiday accommodation, great place to stay to get away from it all in a peaceful and lovely setting.

Lovely place to stop just off A1. Tea room serving tea/coffee and cakes available without paying garden entrance fee which on a damp and dreary day suited us fine. There is a bigger menu available at the cafe situated within the gardens. Tea room was beautifully decorated/furnished, service was great and cakes delicious.

Wonderful stay at this hidden treasure. The room was superbly equipped, spotlessly clean and fabulous value for money. A lovely little welcome pack was also included, thank you.
Having the beautiful gardens to yourself once the day visitors have gone home and again before they arrive the following morning really is the icing on the cake.
We hope to be back sooner rather than later.

You can just turn up and pay there and then or you can pay on line and turn up with the ticket on your phone or printed. They prefer contactless.

I gave wrong info about dogs being welcome. No dogs allowed I'm afraid but the rest was true. If you're staying in the lodge then you can have your dogs with you but you can't go into the garden with the dogs on the days when the public are there. SORRY for misinformation.
