We had just arrived in Fowey for a couple of hours and saw their cabin so thought we’d have a go as a boat was just leaving. Only us and two others on the tour. For £10 each this was absolutely worth it. A nice length of time, knowledgeable skipper and amazing scenery that we weren’t expecting. Would highly recommend.

Such a great way to explore the river, further down than you can see from either bank or the ferries. We were on the smaller boat, but it was a fine day and only a bit rough at the Harbour entrance, and the views were amazing. Our guide knew so much and pointed out many places and vessels of interest. We got a fleeting glimpse of a couple of kingfishers. We were astonished at what excellent value for money the trip was, lasting almost an hour. Highly recommend.

45 mins trip that made our day
Someone we met while having a drink had recommended the trip so for 9.00 we felt it was worth a try
So glad we did - not the best weather but absolutely loved it.

We went today 28th sept on the Fowey river trip .we really enjoyed it .the view were lovely the captain of the boat was friendly and informative

Best £9 I’ve spent. Incredible value for money, knowledgeable skipper and guide, friendly company with great humour. Felt like a lot longer than 45 minutes - and that’s in a good way! Really enjoyable trip. Can’t praise this tour team enough. Made me hungry for more boating adventures further afield…
Top tips:
1) bring cash. They’re a small operation so don’t take cards at present. Though they can direct you towards the nearest ATM, which isn’t far (round the corner next to MAD Museum - another destination worth visiting).
2) bring a camera: lots of sights and wildlife. We were even lucky to see a kingfisher. Also lots of cormorants and a grey heron.
3) be prepared to sit where you can balance the boat rather than adjoined to your travelling partner(s). A listing boat isn’t a great look. More than happy to comply. I sat opposite my partner and could take lots of portraits. Awww…

I booked a river cruise with John for a special family occasion.John went out of his way to make the occasion very special and I shall be forever grateful.Nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommended.Thanks John.

This is the second time we have been out for this tour (with a 4 year gap!) We had 'Captain Dan' for both trips aboard 'Moogie' Dan was really good at giving us some facts, but also keeping it light hearted and humorous with his own twist of whit on it all. The children (age 6 & 2) both enjoyed it and the approx 45 min trip was just right.... would 100% recommend this if you have a hours gap in your day and your on the Fowey quay! Its nice to see the town from the waterside view! Sensibly priced and the nice lady in the kiosk also offered to look after our buggy for us to save hauling it on and off the boat.... Thank you!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
My elderly parents and I took the 45 minute river cruise aboard the “Moogie” boat, the skipper (sorry I’ve forgotten his name!) was kind, courteous, funny and extremely knowledgeable! The cruise was £9 for 45 minutes but it lasted for much longer than that which was fab. I’ve been on boat trips before and they felt rushed but not this one, the skipper took the time to point out many interesting landmarks and places and answer any questions.
We even saw an Osprey in the dead tree and it’s youngster on the bank eating something that it had caught!
Well worth the £9 we all agreed that it was the best boat trip we’ve been on and would most definitely do it again!!
If you’re in the area this is a must!
Also dog friendly which is fab!!

Great boat trip around the harbour & estuary with a very knowledgeable & friendly skipper.
45/50 min trip that was excellent value for money.

Unfortunately not. There are steps down to the boat and steps to get into the boat.
