‪A truly magical place‬

‪We were worried about going in March as the trees are bare and we thought it wouldn’t have the same vibe. But we weren’t disappointed it is a magical place!

It took us about 1.5 hours to walk around the woodland area, there are no maps and you are left to navigate the place yourself. Make sure retrace your steps to discover all routes as there are lots of points were you can take different paths.

The walk is stunning and I’d recommend going early or out of school holidays if you can as the quieter this place is the better the atmosphere.

Was worth the entry fee and the drive down from the midlands - I would definitely recommend this place.

Lots of things for younger kids to do but it is a place for all ages as long as you are steady on your feet and wear sensible shoes.

Plan to return again - guessing this place will be amazing in autumn months‬

‪Wish I had been a bit more organised with finding the film locations but what a place!

A map would have been useful as we definitely missed some of the middle section and you just didn't know where the footpath was going to take us. Good footwear is definitely recommended as even with walking boots the rocks and stepping stones were still slippy where they had become polished over time.

We enjoyed a hot panini at the cafe which was nice and cosy after a cold walk. Prices were good however I can't remember if there were any vegan options available.‬

‪The walk was fun and you could tell that the staff had put in effort to make the bridges and pathways but a map would have been useful. Also, we have great imaginations but it was a stretch to see some of the 'creatures'. I think it is a bit overpriced for what is on offer. 1-2 hours rather than a day out.
Food well priced in the cafe.‬

‪Magical woodland, well worth a visit, get there early before anyone else arrives to feel the full magic, you can really imagine elves, goblins and fairies living there.‬

‪Puzzlewood feels like a magical place. The deep gorges and high walls through the woods are beautiful. It goes around in a one way system so that you don't miss anything. I think my partner and I enjoyed it more than the children but it is well worth a visit. They have a few farm animals and a play park too which is nice.
There are a lot of uneven paths and steps in the woods, so I wouldn't recommend visiting if you are unsteady on your feet.‬

‪"Magical" seems like a good description‬

‪It's quite muddy and slippery and might not be suitable for everyone but I thought it was quite fun to explore. I liked the combination of the natural features - the rocks, the trees, the roots, etc. - and the elements they've added like the bridge, the bench, the cradle(?)... It's like a little fantasy world away from the real world. It's quite humid and even smells different.
It is very much a maze though and there isn't a map or any signs. In a way it's nice to just come across things for yourself but I think I walked around in circles a bit and didn't see everything and I struggled to find the exit at the end. I got there a bit late and didn't have as much time as I would have liked. I wonder what happens if you don't make it out in time - do they come after you?
I saw something about films and TV shows being shot there, which makes sense, but again, there's no information about this as you go round.
I'm not sure what the connection is between the animals and the wood. I think they probably appeal to kids more. But I thought they were nice.‬

‪Got better after a bad start‬

‪The visit started badly as they only allow you in if you book online and if you haven’t done this before you arrive they expect you to stand in the entrance. Disgusted that they then charge you a booking fee!!!
Once you’ve got over the getting in, the visit does improve. It really is a magical place. However there’s no signage and no route map so you’re not sure you’ve seen it all.
We didn’t use the café but the toilet facilities were very clean.
If you visit make sure you wear sturdy footwear; it was very muddy and slippery when we visited‬

‪As usual, a natural part of OUR land has been claimed.
They add a bridge, an average cafe and a few things that look out of place so they have an excuse to charge the public to walk around what is already ours.
£7? Disgraceful.
We, the public, really need to boycott these places.
Similar with Stonehenge.
They state that you can't go near the stones due to fear of errosion, but, if you pay for a 'special access' tour, suddenly the problem goes away.
Strange how money can stop wear and tear!!‬

‪Beautiful and stunning natural wooland. Plenty of space to walk, plenty of wood to explore. Paths were well kept and safe. Many benches to sit and eat/drink. Animals looked very well kept and healthy.‬
