Pretty, traditional and scenic. Great place for a walk or to stop at one of the lovely nearby pubs to relax.

Nice harbour area. Maintained well and kept clean and tidy. Lots of nice pubs and cafes along the front where you can sit a watch the still active fishing trade going on.

Très joli petit port de pêche avec les odeurs qui vont avec .. ça sent la sardine on peut faire la promenade jusqu’à la tout et plein de petits restaurants

Beautiful busy little harbour lots of fishing boats in and out plenty of benches to sit on and take in the view

We often come to Weymouth and the Harbour is particularly nice. Plenty of good cafes, restaurants Pubs - to suit all tastes.
The sea front is not particularly attractive - too many amusement arcades - but the beach is very nice.
Well worth a stroll over the swing bridge to the Old Harbour

Beautiful, bustling harbour at the centre of the seaside town of Weymouth. Always something to see and plenty of opportunities to sit and watch the world go by. Stunning.

There is something special about Weymouth Harbour. I have been visiting here regularly since 1953 and never become tired of it. It is surrounded by lots of traditional buildings and old pubs. If you are lucky enough to visit during the Weymouth Sea Food Festival, take full advantage. A trip across the harbour on the ancient ferry is something to savour.

Never tire of walking around this area. Always something going on and something to see in the bustling harbour.

We had a lovely walk to the harbour from our caravan park. The views are spectacular, with day trips on offer, and a ferry too. There is a pretty walkway overlooking the harbour, with outside seating and lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. If the weather is on your side, this is a place where you could spend all day. There are also plenty of shops nearby.

Sitting by the harbour in the sunshine was lovely and it was interesting. Lots of restaurants and bars and seating areas to just sit and do nothing.

Doing a 11 day touring holiday next year thinking of starting off l/regis then planning weymouth before moving on elsewere [yet to be decided]is 3days at weymouth about right

Yes 3 days will be fine - buses go over regularly to the Isle of Portland (run by first bus Dorset) and is a good service - get an all day ticket, I am sure they take credit cards on board
Dorchester is well worth a visit too and has a good bus service or a 1/2 hourly train service run by South Western Railway - Lots of history and is 10-15 minutes on the train and longer by bus

where can i park with a blue badge in weymouth we are by the harbour will be left for 3 days

Are you staying in a B & B by the harbour? If so, it could be that they have residents permits to display in your car windscreen in which case there are zoned areas...hopefully quite close to where you are staying. If not, it may be worth phoning the Council and/or buying a weekly visitors permit but it's worth checking with the Council first.

We've booked a house on the Quay for six adults and a toddler.There's one parking permit but three cars! Any tips on the most economical way to park nearby?

Or better still take 2 cars a little way aw
ay from central areas and give other drivers a lift back. Hope you get parked ok.

Parking can be an issue
It's a case of luck finding a pay parking bay or some of bays
1 hour only stay --some are restrictions at different times of day --some permit holders If you have a Blue Badge (disabled drivers) you can park on the permit holders bays
The main car park which I know my friend usually use is just at back of town --- Council owned Pay and Display car park (near RSBP radipole lake )

Hi there
Am looking for a day/or half day return (non-speed/power) boat trip from Weymouth to view Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door for four of us, one with slight mobility issues, but OK with our assistance in early September (10th to be precise) to celebrate a birthday.
We do not mind sharing with others rather than charter individually as it would keep costs down but does anyone have any recommendations/ideas as to cost? We can take a picnic lunch if needs be? Many thanks!
