‪Lovely, pretty easy 2 mile walk along the Heddon River from the National Trust Car Park. Lovely outlook, and Heddon's Mouth is spectacular. Next time, will definitely stop at the Hunter's Inn.‬

‪Love walk. We did the 9km. It was clearly sign posted. This was a slightly challenging walk. No issue for us but just be warned!!

Car park was £5 for the day, clean toilets. Nice pub!!‬

‪Lovely family stroll down-river to the sea‬

‪A beautiful national trust place. We parked up and headed down stream. I knew there was a walk but I didn’t know what to expect. The kids loved it and as the river meets the sea, the rocks get bigger and bigger, making you feel so small (and almost irrelevant!) possibly only accessible by the walk, it was far quieter than the local beaches we had visited through the day!‬

‪Great walking country‬
أكتوبر 2020
‪Lovely easy walk along both sides of the river down to the small stoney beach. Slightly harder walks up to the coastal footpath (moderate incline) but worth every step for the magnificent views on the way up and down and from the cliff top. Pity the NT shop and tea room are only open on weekends but Hunters Inn provides refreshments but numbers are obviously limited at the moment so best to take your own. Road down to car park was barely wide enough for our car and a bit hairy but well worth the trouble.‬

‪A Walkers Paradise‬
سبتمبر 2020
‪This National Trust area is most definitely for walkers. The total area of this ancient woodland valley is quite large but without doubt the most popular trek is from The Hunters Inn (now owned by the NT apparently) following the stream down to the beach a round trip of some two miles. There are many other walks in the area for the braver hiker and they have spectacular views. Apart from the pub, there is not a lot here. The NT have a small shop and there is a large car park. It is possible for a suitable disabled persons chair, motorised or not, to get down the path but it is uneven and rough in places and will be hard going but we did witness it.‬

‪An old carriageway on the cliff tops between Martinhoe and Heddon Valley had spectacular views and travelling from East to west was a reasonably easy downhill walk‬

‪Woodland/riverside Walk‬
زوجان • سبتمبر 2020
‪Thoroughly enjoyable and beautiful walk from Hunters Inn down through the Valley to Heddons Mouth beach. It rained but were protected by the woodland for a lot of the walk.
Walked down via right side path and back via the easier/pushchair accessible path due to having broken my ankle fairly recently and not wanting to overdo it.
But for the rain and ankle, I would have had a swim from the beach as am a year-round outdoor swimmer, but it was quite a scramble over rocks and a rocky beach so put safety 1st and didnt this time!
Due to COVID and queues, skipped a coffee in Hunters Inn this time but enjoyed a hot chocolate and ice cream from the NT shop 50 yards up the road, sitting outside on a picnic table to rest up and take in the lively location.
A thoroughly enjoyable, 2 mile (approx) walk.
Am sure we will return another time for me to tick off that swim!!!‬
