terrible experience my family and freinds have always popped in here but last visit will be the last sadly we have vouchers that we wont be using emailed to ask can we send back for a refund to no replye it has been read ,customer service was appalling the young girls attitude we were so shocked how she spoke ,She had no customer service skills at all ,The barman did listen but had nothing to say probably couldnt get a word in for the girls attitude problem ,Did not feel safe and speaking to other family members in last 2 month they have experienced a few problems so donte go now ,take care everyone ..

Lovely and quirky little bar.We did the gin tasting experience which was very good value. We were well looked after by Jess who was very knowledgeable about the gins and this made the experience for me. The food we got with it was also wonderful. I would definitely go back

Myself and my friend visited on Sunday night. The barman was a delight and couldn’t do enough for us! Polite well mannered! However the cocktail glasses were so Small it was ridiculous! £6 per drink was fine but please use correct size glasses !

Two young lads served my lass and I. Top quality customer service, amazing drinks, nice atmosphere..10/10

A lovely quirky bar with a seating area with lovely views over the city. We are bitter drinkers so just had a couple of bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale.

Great bar in great location , ordered a cheese /charcuterie platter it was fabulous
Couldn't have asked for more ,took a pic and put it on FB and it received many good comments ,Lovely staff too

I was served by chloe ,miya and Jack and I have to say they were the best servers I have ever met so happy and loving towards there job chloe was an amazing hostess miya had me laughing and Jack served the best drinks cocktails and service were on point couldn't ask for more from the 3 of them they are a credit to your buisness keep these guys around and I'll be back with alot of friends

I booked a Gin Tasting Experience for my friends birthday. There we're 5 of us.
When we arrived I went to the bar and was simply shouted at "it's outside!", Went outside with no idea where we were sitting as all the tables were occupied. Turned around and found the young girl who'd spoken to me arguing with another member of staff about how the table in question was reserved for us and pointed to the sign, the other waitress continued to argue and said that we can sit on one side and the other group of men who we're total strangers could sit on the other side.
I bit my tongue and thought I'd not let this ruin my friends birthday by getting annoyed at the incompetence.
The gent that started our gin Tasting was fab and explained the gin in detail along with the tonic. However he said he'd be back in 15 minutes to run through the next tasting, 20 minutes past and I had to ask for a member of staff then still waiting a further 10 minutes.
The cheese grazing platters were lovely and complimented the gin really well.
One of the girls that had been involved in the argument literally stood by the bouncer right next to us the whole 2 + hrs we were there, apart from when she went off to the shop and then again to dominos pizza as she came back with pizza boxes. I don't think I saw her do any work and started to wonder if she even worked there. I was shocked when she moved some tables around but then she quickly reverted to form and stood by the bouncer looking up and down passer by's. If this was my business I wouldn't be paying her to act as a garden gnome. It made us feel very uncomfortable.
The strangers we we're forces to share our table with left half way through the tasting so we moved around the table so we we're no longer sitting on top of each other to which the staff then sat on the bench with us drinking alcohol like some sort of free for all. I'll say it again the table was reserved for our Gin tasting.
We have visited Old Toms before and have never experienced anything like this.
The gin and cheese Boards were lovely but the lack of organisation and customer service really let it down. We we're really looking forward to a nice evening celebrating our friends birthday but it was ruined by unprofessional behaviour. We had paid and were looking forward to this experience. I'd have received friendlier service in my local pub!

Spent a great night at this bar on the bank Holiday weekend. Lovely peaceful setting with outdoor heated area overlooking the river and cathedral. Quirky and different. Fab gins and cocktails available. Happy and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

The most EXPENSIVE drinks
£27 for 2 gin and tonics is an absolute disgrace
I questioned this with one of the servers and he was very rude! He just shrugged 🤷🏿♂️
