‪We were visiting Durham for a week and wanted to take day-trips into the countryside, see some castles and cathedrals, etc. We got in touch with Shaun of Fonacab, and he took us wherever we wanted to go, as well as planning a couple of days of sightseeing for us. He did such a great job picking places for us to see! He's also a wonderful driver. Even my mom, a nervous rider, relaxed with him. We would definitely hire Shaun's service again and would recommend him to anyone visiting that area of the UK!‬

‪Great Find for our day docked in Newcastle.‬

‪In order to see all we wanted to see in this area, we hired Shaun of Fonacab and he was such a pleasure to deal with throughout all our planning. He was happy to take us wherever we wanted to go but was diligent in pointing out how long it would take to reach each destination. We ultimately decided to skip the port city of Newcastle in favor of seeing Hadrian's Wall at Housesteads Roman Fort, then a short stop in Blanchland (had great soup at the restaurant) and then go to Durham. We went to the Cathedral for the 2 PM tour and the Castle's 4:15 tour (which we reserved in advance). Shaun picked the 4 of us up at our ship and returned us to the ship as scheduled. Though he was not a guide, he was very personable and a pleasure. Using his service gave us the transportation we required and kept us independent.‬
