The one in the castle is themed around a ghosts curse. My teens (16 and 13) loved it - as did the parents!

Hi Amanda, We recommend checking out Durham cathedral which is two minutes walk away. We are also above a great restaurant "The Cellar Door" which has a well stocked bar, over the road from Durham's most haunted pub "The Shakespeare" and also above Durhams most popular independent cafe "Flat White". Our small reception area does have seating and mini puzzles to enjoy, but we would recommend the cake and coffee at flat white!

Hi All our rooms operate on a 1 hour countdown. You are in the room for the full hour (unless you manage to escape quicker). The majority of teams play for over 50 minutes. Our rooms can hold up to 6 people. If you have a bigger party they can play in two different rooms, or play in the same room over a couple of hours. Thanks for the question! We recommend that the majority of the team are 16+. Players younger than 18 should be accompanied by at least one adult. Younger players can come along if they're part of an older team - but we wouldn't recommend players younger than 13. A team can contain 2 - 6 members. We've had larger groups, but have split them over two consecutive sessions.
