Beware
Popped into this Arcade to have some amusement.
When getting change from a change machine, after putting a £10 note in

I got 9 x £1 coins and 1 x 20 pence piece.
80p short
This is not the first time this has happened and I doubt it will be the last.
Makes me wonder if someone is on the fiddle!

We visited after checking their website and Facebook which claimed them to be open until 8pm. We arrived at 1:30pm to a rude man on the door telling us they are having their flooring changed so we can only enter the over 18’s area but as we have a toddler with us, we’re not able to do that.
I then called the following day to ask if they are open and they explained that the majority is open but a small part is closed.
On arrival, we found everything but the 2p machines closed again. We then asked to play minigolf as we could see people playing it and we were advised that we can’t as the final game is 5pm and it was now 5:20pm (even though we could see people playing). This was again not advertised on their website.
Every single machine was turned off and we found one that was on and went to play, a member of staff then came over rudely and told us the entire place was closed and we can not play.
Another waste trip with rude members of staff
I then called the following day to ask if they are open and they explained that the majority is open but a small part is closed.

Nice complex, POOR Gift shop
States on Door open untiL 8PM, closes at 7.40 pm
They should state the correct opening hours.
Disappointed children not being able to buy gifts.

I can see other reviews saying about how expensive this place is... most of these seaside amusements run on tourism and they are a luxury so expect them to be priced "higher than the average ice cream" - if you want to see them survive then treat yourself.
Our two families met up for a walk along the beach and stopped to play a game of (indoor) crazy golf. It wasn't too loud in the arcade (our baby slept through the entire game) and we had a brilliant time laughing at each other trying to complete each course. The place was clean and felt safe.
The youngest of our crew (3yrs) needed a hand but enjoyed the lights and hitting the ball around. Us adults got competitive and I won. Ha.

This arcade has been here for many years and it was nice to see it has been tidied up by closing off the tired Jungle Jims and upgrading to a new indoor crazy golf. There was a large queue to get in so I gave the kids a couple of pounds to use the 2p slot machines, it started off ok then, through lack of maintenance, the machines would let out your 2p winnings only for them to fall into sone other area of the machine and not into the kids hands! Unbelievable! Sone of the machines had ran out of tickets or the 2p became jammed, losing your money.
I went to report this fault to staff who honestly did not care and sort of shrugged shoulders and returned to their booth full of our cash!
When my daughter did eventually get some tickets, 118 in total, the tight fisted staff would not let her round up to 120 to exchange for an extra bag of sweets (bearing in mind all the money I had lost through poor maintenance of machines). Proper scrooges!
We returned to the golf but it was still packed so missed out. Decent Covid retrictions in place but not sure they are effective at keeping to the 1m rule. Sanitising stations positioned around the arcade but I did not see staff wiping down any of the machines.
Worth a visit if you like miserable staff who are tight fisted even with children. Almost certainly, you will come out poorer from this building!

Avoid the fish and chips , a slimey undercooked disgusting excuse for food , you've been warned 👎 £17.20 it was utterly disgusting I felt guilty giving them to the seagulls ... yuk

Working in an area with children you would think the staff would show a little happiness and friendliness. However the women who works on reception is so miserable. It's a shame because the actual play area is good, but it is let down and makes you not want to come back.

There are a lot of things to do in and out of the summer arcade there are lots of things to do lots of 2p 10p and competition machines the facility is good staff is outstanding and they be happy to help you out they have recently added a bouncy castle for the kids to enjoy plus there is machines for adults to like bingo and casino the reason why I like it is because there are a lot of things to do even a soft play area toys and products to be won and it’s fun for the family

Has lots of interesting machines suitable for all ages, lots of 2p machines that give tickets to get prizes, these are child friendly with steps so the smaller ones can reach to play!

This is a massive indoor area crammed with interesting ways to capture your money, from 2p cascade and push to £1 ball drop. The more expensive options spit out strips of tickets that can be exchanged for receipts to spend in the shop. The shop swops receipts for really tacky gifts that impress the kids and annoy the hell out of the now broke adults. Such is life in a seaside town and evermore will be- hopefully. A good fun place to watch but not indulge.
