Superb service from Kevin. Easy to book, easy to park, great guide from Kevin. Wonderful tour of the red squirrel trail. Could not recommend this high enough!

Hired from Routefifty7 for the second time. Once again a really friendly service. I recommend the electric assist bike. Just makes the 14 miles a pleasure, great views all the way and the last section along the seafront is a great finish. Excellent value highly recommended

I rented a trail bike for a day. The bike was well maintained and in excellent condition (shout out to the mechanic!). I was given a helmet, pump, lock and a map for the Red Squirrel trail. I had a great time and would definitely recommend this business.

We recently did a half day bike ride with our two children aged 6 and 9 with all.of us having our own mountain bikes. We did the red squirrel route, which I believe is about a 15-mile circular route, including Godshill and Sandown.
Despite our youngest falling off his bike within the opening few hundred metres and some whinging from our eldest, this was a good afternoon biking.
We were able to visit the Model Village at Godshill on route however didn't spend too long in the village as we were mindful of the time. There are loads of places to stop or divert to on this route so if you plan on doing them all you'd probably need to hire the bikes for the day. We just about managed the route within the 4 hour time frame with only stopping at the model village.
The route does include some road, a couple of hills and a field (where there was much whinging) however its worth persisting with the full circular route as after the field there is a long downhill, which I wouldn't fancy doing the other way as well as a nice easy ride from mid route cafe to sandown where you ride along the seafront back to Shanklin.
Overall it was reasonably priced, the route is easy enough for smaller children but has enough to keep older kids entertained and has enough distractions to peg onto your bike ride to make a full day of it.

Turned up to their location in Lower Hyde, The owner and his associate were lovely, providing bikes including helmets and locks for a affordable price and talking us through the red squirrel trail with great detail. The trail itself was beautiful including many of the sights we were wanting to view during our time on the island. Overall had a great day out, bikes were lovely and i cant say enough about the wonderful customer service 👍

As I was booking cycle hire for a group of x7 friends, I made particular effort to phone initially and then follow up my booking by email in absolute detail (including bike sizing) to ensure there were no problems. I even messaged 4 days prior to my booking to reconfirm and clarify the date, time, and cycle drop off location. On the day, after 5 minutes had passed since the agreed rendezvous time I telephoned the company to be told ‘oh crikey, it’s not today is it? I was then told that they would get there asap. 40 minutes late, the ebikes turned up at our hotel. There were a real mix of styles, two men’s, 3 women’s, and two ‘shopper’ ladies style. I’d explained that we were seven males and wanted seven mountain ebikes so this situation was annoying as some of our group felt short-changed as their bikes were not as good as the others. When one of our group fell off and badly cut his leg (requiring 3 stitches) I phoned and told them when we would be back at our hotel for a prompt handover. We duly waited for 20 minutes with the bikes at our hotel (to ensure they were not stolen) before again having to phone. The owner then said ‘oh ok, I’ll pop down now’. There was absolutely no urgency (bearing in mind we needed to get one of us to A&E) and nothing offered really by means of apology or assistance.
As a result we had a poor experience and I would not recommend this company or use them again.

Today we rode the beautiful Red Squirrel route with our wife and two adult children with bicycles that we rented here. Two very friendly gentlemen helped us. We even got a discount because we paid in cash: £80 instead of £88!
The route was discussed extensively and jokes were made. So far so good.
When we were a kilometer into the ride, the chain on the tandem came off. It can happen and with some skill we could recreate it ourselves. So don't cycle back. The route was beautiful! However, we did get a lot of practice in resetting the chain. The chain also came loose on one of the two e-bikes, which creaked terribly when you drove up a hill with force.
So actually they just weren't good bikes. I have been cycling for fifty years, but the chain has never come off on any of my bicycles.
Five kilometers from the final destination - we were going to return the bikes - the chain of the tandem came off again. Tried a lot, but couldn't put it back on. We were standing in the middle of a large meadow, through which the path went, so there was no point in calling for recovery. So we sent the ladies ahead with the e-bikes and walked for another hour.
Because of this adventure we arrived half an hour later. No sympathetic response, just grumbling that we were too late. He wanted extra money and grumbled a lot. We left that alone and left. Of course we didn't pay anything extra. And next time we will rent our bikes elsewhere.

We cycled the Red Squirrel Trail on Ryan's recommendation -a fantastic cycle ride through varied scenery and with plenty of places to stop off. Helpful advice from Ryan. Lower Hyde right on the trail.

Great first time experience. The guys are friendly and knowledgeable on the area and how to get the most from the 2 e-bikes we hired for the day

We hired bikes via Ryan in Godshill. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 6 children. The teens absolutely loved the muddy, challenging trails! It’s a must-do activity for the whole family.
