Came here with my family a few days ago and it’s such a chilled and relaxed environment, we all painted something and I got one of their famous milkshakes and there’s absolutely no faults whatsover, the staff go above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy and have everything they need. We’ve been regular customers for years and this won’t change! Thank you.

Brilliant visit for a birthday. Great customer service, friendly, fun and highly recommended. Good choice of things to paint and felt completely safe and at ease sitting in. Milkshakes are amazing too!

This is essentially a Shake Away with the added bonus of pottery painting. Obviously with lockdown, they weren't providing any sit in options here, but they still had the take away food and were providing home pottery-painting kits.
This was such a fabulous idea, as for about £8 (if I remember correctly) you had a small ceramic of your choice, paints, brushes and a selection of sweets. Prices obviously increased for larger items, but they had a great selection, and my son loved it.
And the milkshakes were delicious. All ice cream shakes, with your option of mixers (choc bars biscuits etc) and toppings. They also did waffles and ice-creams to take away too. Maybe we'll come back again one day to give the in house ceramics a go!

Great place for adults teenagers or children. We painted bird feeders and a couple of plates. We had a great time while it rained outside, and the milkshakes are wonderful. we had one in the morning, then another with lunch. Oreo and Snickers, ice cream and so many choc bars to choose from. We returned for our products the next day once they had been through the kiln. My only disappointment was that they were not kept separate when we collected them so there was a small chip on one piece. But again we had lunch and another milkshake while we waited.! I would recommend this for anyone for a relaxing time.

So friendly and welcoming, our 8 year old loved painting a red racing car with his dad helping out. Highly recommended. Definently try the vast array of milkshakes. 5 stars!!!!

Charming family run business - friendly service. We enjoyed an amazing milkshake as well as making glitter slime. And there are no words for the sublime waffles!!!

Amazing afternoon with a lovely family who run ArtyShakes. Great advice on pottery painting for my two daughters (aged 12 and 8) and the most delicious milkshakes I have ever tasted! Not only that....a sample waffle to taste! Really lovely afternoon. A pleasure to experience for families, couples, friends....or just anyone wanting something different to do - thanks for having us x

Went here with my 2 friends today and had an amazing time! We have been here before and they are just as friendly, attentive and helpful as they were last time! It has a brilliant atmosphere, great for all ages. Everything is very reasonably priced and the milkshakes we had were extremely tasty. We really enjoyed painting our pieces and wre excited to see how they come out. We will almost definitely come again!

Visited arty shakes today with my daughter and mum and dad. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the whole place has a lovely feel about it. We stayed for 2 hours doing our painting and having drinks. A lovely afternoon. Would thoroughly recommend this place to all.

Arty Shakes is without a doubt the best pottery studio we have been to. We have visited several places around the UK and this is the best by far.
Arty Shakes is a family run business so you feel right at home, and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely range of items to paint, starting from as little as £3. You can paint with acrylics (and glitter) to take home the same day, or for a small £4 studio fee you can paint with proper pottery paints which are glazed and fired in the kiln, which means the items are fully waterproof - perfect for plates, mugs, bird feeders, tealight holders etc. The turn around time for kiln fired pieces is around 2 days, although ours were ready the following afternoon. (The other pottery on the Isle of Wight said 2 weeks!). This is perfect if you are on holiday even for a short break.
Arty shakes also have the best range of shakes, made with icecream and local milk. you can add a sauce to the cup, then choose from a huge range of sweets, biscuits and chocolate bars (or mix two together) then add cream and toppings - all for the same price £2 for small, £3 for medium and £4 for large. We had turkish delight and when our son couldn't decide they created a black forest shake - cherry, chocolate mini rolls, raspberry sauce and chocolate sprinkles - so good he was speechless!
One last thing, if you are not yet convinced, visit on a Monday for 'monday madness' - 2 for 1 on kiln firing studio fees AND a small milkshake free with any large one.
These guys are fab, can't rate them highly enough.

Do you have a price list for the pottery and refreshments please? Trying to plan a special leaving treat there and need to know the cost for two 12 year olds to waffle, shake and paint moneyboxes for example? Many thanks :)

Hi we have a seating fee of £4 for whom ever is painting, this covers the cost of paint, glaze and kilning and our items that you can paint start at £3. We try to cater for every budget. I hope this helps.
