This is a very unusual museum and well worth a visit. There are so many different styles and makes of Lawnmowers on display here.
from racing Lawnmowers through to Flymo ones. There are also information boards to read as well
There is a commentary as you walk around that has so many interesting facts about Lawnmowers.
If you are interested in things mechanical it is well worth a visit. It is certainly packed full with exhibits.

The first thing to hit you on entering is the smell! Really evocative. The tour is guided through the tannoy and starts upstairs in room 1. I found it easy to follow and pitched at just the right speed and level of detail. The sound system is occasionally scratchy, but remains intelligible.
Along the top corridor are photos of visiting celebs 😀
Possibly of limited interest to people like my wife. I enjoyed the nostalgia.

A friend suggested i have a look on my visit to Southport as it is something a little bit different. I definetly enjoyed looking around, but the audio recording i found went on a little bit without any explanation of where i was supposed to be.
The entrance is kind of hidden inside a shop though so if you don't actually know it is there or come from the right direction it would certainly be missable.
If i ever get to come this way again with that friend, i would certainly say it would be a nice place to visit again. (hopefully with a better audio track)

I heard about this museum & I visited it out of curiosity with my special needs son . I'm so glad we did. We both learned some amazing weird & wonderful facts about lawnmowers. Reasonably priced & well worth a visit!!!

Interesting and inexpensive sums up this museum for me. The only downside was that I had to sit on the stairs when I got tired of standing. It is full to the brim of old mowing equipment so no room for seats. Still very good though and glad I went.

The kids nagged all week to visit, and boy was it worth it! As you can see, it’s had a lasting effect on them!

British Lawnmower Museum is located in the rear of a hardware shop. Although the Museum could do with an upgrade it was a pleasant experience. Brian is very knowledgeable and there is an audio available. £3 is a small price to pay to see some great engineering over the years.

Who would have thought a museum like this existed well worth a visit. Brian talked with passion about the mowers and was vey knowledgeable. Our group of Randomers loved this museum. Hoping to make it on the wall of celebrities with our photo with Brian.

I had visitors staying and thought they'd like the idea of visiting a rather unusual museum. We all came away having thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned new things! The audio tour made a great difference as it pointed out interesting exhibits, especially as there was so much to see. We definitely recommend you visit here and would have given it 5* but for the very cold temperature upstairs!

Yes there is parking nearby or you can park at the Amusement Park car park, about a 15 min walk away.
