Dropped by this indy ale house for a bit of a slurp and nibble at lunchtime. Warm and welcoming, a great selection of hand pulls, cider and crafty bottles. Bagged one of their cheese slates. Mainly Lancs fromage- all lovely. Genial atmosphere with a few friendly locals. Deserves to be busier. Check it out.

This is an excellent micro pub in the heart of Southport, an extremely pleasant place to have a pint of ale, a glass of craft beer, or taste some terrific cheese.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff assist customers in their selection from a very good collection of real ales and craft beers together with options of cider, wine, and some spirits including gin.
With an informal atmosphere conducive to good conversation and banter I can highly recommend this wonderful micro pub

First off like many other people I’m not a beer drinker but my friends are and so I join them here, usually under silent duress! A non beer drinker can get a limited number of other drinks . I do however feel that this place would not win any cleanliness awards. The tables always look dirty and it’s nothing short of chaotic behind the bar. The outside seating isn’t great and neither is it comfy but if you love beer I doubt that would bother you.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to go to Tap & Bottles as we were wandering around this part of town and what a very pleasant time we had .
I loved the look of this bar,a dark ,cosy interior, eclectic decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar and some vintage beer enamels adorning the walls, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, a very cool bar indeed.
We were here on a Friday evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a beer each, we chose a dark stout beer ,these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in.
My stout was really good, a malty stout,consistent from the first sip till the last sup, very refreshing, a totally delicious brew ,my twin brother Stephen also gave me a thumbs up to his stout.
We both really enjoyed our stouts in here ,our visit was only fleeting as we were also going to visit The Hungry Monk Pub next door but we had a really good time.
Taps & Bottles is easy to locate along Cambridge Walks.
A great bar ,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.

Stumbled on this by accident, tucked away in an arcade.
Table service due to the situation.
Some nice ales on and a great red wine.
There were a few others sitting outside in the corridor next to an antique shop and a few locals pulling up chairs too. Everyone was chatting and a great little atmosphere.
Would definitely go back.

Nice to see that you’re open again.
I had a pint of draught stout here yesterday and it was delicious proper beer.
A favourite spot in the historic Cambridge walks with a friendly atmosphere.

Nice and cosy. A good selection of ales. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Games consoles and a jukebox! Sounds great doesn’t it!
I only have one small complaint. The music is so quiet near the back - we popped a few songs on the jukebox and barely heard them. We asked for it to be turned up but made no difference.
It appeared to be louder near the door as we were leaving.

Great range off beers. Great to see support for local brewers and some amazing choice. Certainly a place to drop by on a night out.

Especially if you're a fan of speciality beers. I'm not particularly interested in craft beers myself, I just like thinks great place for a drink in general, warm friendly atmosphere.
