Named after the Celtic missionary St. Ninian, also known as the Apostle to the Southern Picts in Scotland. There's really not much to see as the building and presumably the well, is locked up and only an information board to tell the story of this well. The information board and description is decent, but really there's not much to see. The building is largely overgrown and it's hard work trying to imagine what the well once was. If you're close by looking at the black boy fountain or George Christie Clock Tower, I wouldn't go out of the way to see this.

Hard to find and no signage so the council, etc don't see the site as being a tourist attraction. The information board is quite well researched. The door is locked and no window provided so you can see nothing! The city needs to treasure this important piece of its history and make it possible for the visitor to have a positive and meaningful experience.

There is some excellent history associated with the well but it is really just preserved under care and maintenance. It think more could be done to promote the great history behind the well.
