One of my all time favourite shops. Not only do they sell the best slippers in the world, they have the most beautiful items for all occasions. Top quality at great prices. B, Mike and all their staff are so lovely and very helpful. They have an amazing patio bar venue out the back and now also a stunning flat available to rent. Just wonderful and cannot recommend it enough.,

Excellent shop full of beautiful and practical items. My mum in law is happy to drive the 90
Minutes there just to visit even though she can buy online. There is a bar ba hind which I’d love to try as looks so cosy.

Hidden away, out back of a lovely little shop, is a courtyard that is a must visit.
A small paper sign that read "outside bar open until 10pm" caught our eye.
A little retreat hidden away, well decorated, and welcoming. Log burner lit, warming the patio, good beers on offer, and a great cocktail list.
what was meant to be a quick spontaneous drink before dinner, turned into pretty much an entire evening. Even returning for one last drink after dinner.
"Blink" the barman was very welcoming, a good laugh, and had a great taste in music, reflected in the playlist. We had a good laugh, had some nice drinks, and honestly it just felt like having drinks in a friends garden, it was lovely. Cannot recommend enough.
We will definitely be back soon

Omg we have just had the best afternoon, we went into a quaint shop on Connaught avenue, whilst in there we got invited into the patio area that is outback of the shop. We ended up staying 3 hours sipping on Magarita’s and Long Island Iced Tea’s, great music, attentive and friendly bar staff (be warned he will keep offering you shots).
We will definitely be coming back!

A recent visit to Great Danes cocktail bar . We had high hopes for this as the shop is lovely . But we were very disappointed. It’s only really a back yard . The very Smokey fire was enough to drive us out . Plus the cocktails were very mediocre .

We thought this would be a good chance to try out Great Dane’s kitchen
However it was not as good as expected
The place was full of smoke mist if the time and the food came out of pre packed supermarket packaging!
For the price charged for this meal, I would have expected a bit more finesse!

I love visiting Great Danes in person - when visiting the lovely classy seaside town of Frinton on Sea. Long sandy beaches, small individual shops, nice (older) people. (No amusement piers in sight!)
Go and check it out for its events and small outside eating/drinking area in the backyard too.

Everything in the shop is what you’ve always wanted. We also ate on the patio which is a cosy, comfortable yet swish, area. The service was impeccable and the food tasty.

A lovely little shop a stone throw away from the beach .
Full of such beautiful ,unique , gorgeous things to buy. Lovely personal service and a real shopping experience with a personal touch .
The owner is lovely too and very helpful . A shop not to be missed if you are visiting Frinton On Sea one day .
