Frinton in general is a lovely little town with lots of independent businesses . The beach is beautifully clean and facilities are great. Unfortunately for me as a pedestrian coming by train the whole experience is spoilt by cars, huge cars parked everywhere, on pavements , accros entrances, over crossing points and drop curbs blocked by cars, I don't know whether there are not enough places to park or if the town just happens to be full of drivers who park illegally but it's dangerous and off putting for anyone trying to cross or walk down to the beach , especially anyone with mobility issues or a visual impairment.

Great Place, Beautiful Dogs, Pity About Some of their Owners: A gem of a few acres preserved in essence with some updating, Frinton has much to offer those seeking a holiday or short break away from the hustle bustle of commercial resorts. Quiet streets, a half mile of shopping and restaurants, several churches, one superb bookshop - Caxtons - with one equally good second hand book shop - St Helen's; a yarn shop, supermarkets, a broad promenade atop cliffs with a green sward for walking and sitting; a long path meandering down to the welcoming beach; a golf club; beach huts, some of which are for rental; train connection to Walton on the Naze and up to Colchester; A short drive to Clacton and the train line to London. Several pretty gardens to sit in on a pleasant day. B&Bs Airbnbs, a place of general calm and charm. Two downsides; on very hot days and Bank Holidays: disruptive visitors who abuse the town's attractive amenities which distresses residents. And, something which really could be avoided: Dog Owners who DO NOT poopascoop, declining to recognise the matter is of their concern. Reminiscent of the 1950s and even the 1960s when dogs fouling pavements was one of the hazards of everyday life.

We have returned here after a six year hiatus and frinton beach is as good as we remember. Lovely views, really nice walk. Only the thing we don't remember was the amount of seaweed that was on the beach..must be to do with the very hot weather this year

My Brazilian family and I came to this beach in the morning. It was lovely, plenty of space for us to play football etc. We went up on to the greensward to cook our halal lunch for a few hours, then to our horror when we returned, someone had taken the beach away! This is terrible, we were forced to sit in the sea and look at the tower blocks and nuclear power station.
A lovely beach, not even spoiled by a few morons who genuinely leave reviews like the above.

Spent a lovely day with our dog on Frinton beach . Drove in and parked for free along the front looked for Cambridge Road as this is where the dog part starts. Once we walked down the slope and steps it was clearly sign posted which side was dog friendly, right wasn't but left was this is right next to the public toilets. There was a few other dogs having fun down there too. The beach is very clean and the sea was lovely and warm.

I find it amazing that people visit Frinton with its free parking and beautifully kept beaches yet moan that one toilet block charges 20P.
If these very people bothered to look there are free toilets on the promenade. Plain thick and stupid .
They add very little to the economy just want to take free of charge.
Ask yourself people , having had a free day out in Frinton what are you offering in return ?!!!!
Maybe go elsewhere in future

Nice seaside and greensward for picnicking. Good beach and quite no herdy gerdy stuff.
Only complaint is the toilets as normal these days in Britain few and far between. Nice set on the green with some outside entertainment.
Only thing was you had to PAY to use the toilets 20p might not be much but its too much. What do we pay council tax for that they cannt supply clean free toilet facilities just ####### ridiculous. The attendent could do with some social skills in stead of hands in pockets. Some people were "let* in others turned away as had no money with them
Just money grabbing sods the council.

I hesitate to say how special Frinton is, when we already have so many visitors who know it. Access roads and parking can be challenging, but all our beaches are very sandy and flat, with no steep underwater drops, making it paradise for children. Beaches can only be reached by fairly steep pathways, which might be a problem for some people. Best to check tide times before coming and aim for just after high tide. There are many beach huts for daily hire, at a price, although not to sleep in.

There is nothing here you just walk along beach huts to the pier nothing there no cafe or entertainment just a beach row of beachuts that lead to the pier and flats dont come here and waste your time like we did go to clacton better experience

Hi Graham, I personally did not use the public facilities on the way to the pier, but my daughter did inform me that they do have 🚿, Frinton on sea is great.Fantastic fish and chips.

Nope, nothing at all. Not allowed. No ice cream, teas or any food-stalls. Therefore no aggravating seagulls or litter,. Bliss. There are slopes leading to and from the beach which is very wheelchair friendly and disabled toilets. Plenty of cafes and places to eat in the High Street
