fun 40 minute walk through. Was not something we expected in Austria but it was fun. especially good for kids. easy to get to

Quick Visit, Mandatory Guide only English and German. Very short 3 stages, path full of prohibitions. High cost

The staff was very helpful and nice. The tour was super exciting and the free-roaming monkeys often made us laugh! Highly recommended😀

The tour is about 45 minutes long and does not cover much of the area, but we did see plenty of monkeys, both older and very young. They like to come to the tour guide. The guide was fun and showed off their abilities.

At the foot of the ruins with the flight show there is a separate, very entertaining introduction to the world of a species of monkey - the macaque.
You walk through part of the world of these monkeys for around 40 minutes and get a good insight through a "feeding machine on two legs" equipped with potatoes and apples.
In order not to have to choose between the flight show and the monkeys, both should be coordinated on dates and a combination ticket would be better for your wallet

We were able to enjoy a very interesting private tour here, led by a really competent zookeeper. The facility was presented in detail, all questions were answered in detail and the odd anecdote was shared. It really is an experience, but you shouldn't be under the illusion that you are visiting a petting zoo!

We visited this place at the suggestion of our hotelier once he knew we would be visiting the village of Landskron.
We were a little skeptical, thinking that these were things for children, but the visit surprised us a lot, seeing how in reality these little monkeys (Japanese macaques) are more similar to us than we think, both in their behavior and in their movements.
It is not only for children, but also for adults.
Coming to the technical details: the visit departs every half hour with a guide who speaks English and German and this limitation is really great given the amount of Italians who visit Carinthia, however even in English we understood something and the guide was really nice in explain and answer our questions.
The tour lasts about 1 hour more or less and takes place in a forest below the village of Landskron (the car park is the same).
Visit included in the Carinzia Card with the exception of parking of €4.2.

We went there because we had free entrance with a Karnter card.
Normally for a family 46 euros.
You must go through it with a guide. You only get to see a small part of the accommodation and the guide told a lot in English and German.
After ten minutes we had seen it.
The animals are treated with respect.
But it's a lot of money for 45 minutes

The monkey park is very large and you only visit a very small part. It is very natural, so you could admire the monkeys in their natural habitat. I was a bit disappointed that there was only one species of monkey present.

Affenberg Landskron is a guided tour during which you can see the monkeys strolling around and eating fruit and berries while listening fun facts about them. It lasts for about 40 minutes, and it costs 43euro for a familiy of 4.
The problem we had is that on the entrance they told us that the tour is on German and English, but that is hardly true. Our guide spoke German most of the time, and after 5 minutes of German, there would be sentance or two in English.
So most of the time we were standing with our group, listening to language we don't understand, waiting for our guide to speak anything in English.
Monkeys are really fun, but we feld cheated.

Buongiorno!volevo sapere se si è obbligati ad andare in gruppi oltre le 15 persone o se una singola famiglia può accedere al parco perché dalle spiegazioni del sito non mi è molto chiaro!grazie

All’entrata aspettano che si formi un bel gruppo, ma comunque le entrate sono ad orario, se di è formato il gruppo, bebè, altrimenti entrano quelli che ci sono

Gentilmente il costo del biglietto sia per i macchi che per lo spettacolo con i falchi. E se ci sono delle agevolazioni per gli invalidi essendo noi un gruppo di 4 infermieri e 20 pz con disagio mentale

Sfortunatamente, i cani non sono ammessi. Le nostre scimmie sono libere e si sentono minacciate da un cane (grande o piccolo). Abbiamo un giardino per cani dove il cane può aspettarti nel frattempo. Lì ha acqua fresca e ci prende un osso. (a seconda della disponibilità) Aspettiamo la vostra visita e il vostro cane!

We will be traveling by train to Villach train station (I believe that is the closest). Is it possible to get a cab/bus or find transportation from train station to Abenteuer Affenberg?

Yes. There is a bus traveling from Villach bus station (just outside Villach TRain Station) to Villach St.Andrä Ruine bus stop (Bus n 5200). This is the closest bus stop to Abenteuer Affenberg. From the bus stop you have to walk about 5-10 min which is OK in good weather.
You can ask for updated information and timetables / ticker prices in Villach Tourist Office or in Train/Bus Station.
Hiring a cab in Villach is possible, but surely much more expensive.
