Além da paisagem que é fenomenal tem um restaurante denominado tasquinha do Matias onde se pode comer milhos vitela na telha Naco de Vitela e muito mais é uma Boa experiência.

A 13th century bridge over the River Varosa with a magnificent 12th century tower at the town end of the bridge that you can climb to the top of for magnificent views over the river, village and church.

Único exemplo sobrevivente de uma ponte medieval fortificada em Portugal.

This unique monument should be from the second half of the 12th century, when this portion of the territory was linked to Couto do Mosteiro de Salzedas. The bridge was located at the entrance of this circumscription. The heritage set that we see today, however, dates from a later period, possibly from the 14th century, when the bridge and tower that protects it were rebuilt.
The bridge is a double trestle, as was normal in medieval time, and is supported by five pointed arches. But the greatest originality of this monument is the association of a tower with the bridge, as a form of protection and control of people and goods. In a feudal world, where passages over the rivers were few, the collection of tolls constituted an additional income, and it is precisely in the light of this tax that the existence of this tower must be understood. It is located on the side of the monastery of Tarouca and has a quadrangular plan with three floors, featuring military devices on all four sides.

Um sitio encantador , uma rua com iluminaçao no chao que torna a rua mais bonita e acolhedora leva nos até à ponte e torre fortificada de ucanha, onde visitei e no interior tinha um amável cavalheiro que relatou toda a hostoria do monumento. Recomendo vivamente a quem passar na zona.
