‪Really impressive location, car park and notice board helps. There is an easy walk down but stiff climb back! The beach is lovely to explore but quite rocky.
A nice spot with a great view‬

‪it is a nice place to stop off and admire from above - we took a trip down to the beach and not really anything special - quite exposed and not the cleanest - quite a bit of rubbish washed up. We walked to the "fort" marked on the map, lots of ruined village houses but at the end of the bay and nothing to be seen where the fort was marked. We have stopped and explored loads of beaches and bays arround on the Ardnamuchan penninsular and this is not the best. The dog had a swim.‬

‪I’m pleased that there is a listing for this place on TA because we only admired the view in the passing when we were driving along the B8007 from the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse en route to Acharacle and didn‘t know the exact location! The whole route has lots of scenic views but this is possibly the stand out one.‬

‪Can't miss this spot as there is a smallish carpark. Then there is a walk down the hill to get to the bay with its white sands. Lovely spot for picnic (if good weather) or just for a look around.‬

‪While staying on the Ardnamurchan peninsula we decided to walk up Ben Hiant and made the little car park at Camas nan Geall our starting point. It was a lovely walk down to the bay, which was full of cows, and then along the coast until we reached a fence, at which point we had to start the climb uphill. The guide to the walk was a little less than clear and we weren't wholly convinced we were on the right route but we made it to the top and, boy, was it worth it, the views were spectacular all round. The route down was straightforward and led to the road a bit further on from where we'd left the car - fortunately we'd arranged to meet a friend who took us back to the car.‬

‪There's a small car park to pull over, get out and enjoy the wonderful view of Ben Hiant tumbling down into the sea.The little bay itself far below is dark sand backed with emerald fields and grazed by cattle.
You can walk down to the bay to see an ancient burial ground with a 2.3m high standing stone, with carvings and a chambered cairn.
Coll lies on the far horizon and you realise how far west, how remote you now are.I love this spot and it's where the landscaoe changes again as you rise high above the beautiful wooded shores and little bays and cross big empty moorland.A treat awaits to as you cross the other side of the peninsula and Rum,the Skye Cuillin and Eigg rear up out of the ocean in the distance.Magic.‬

‪this isnt an easy place to get to.you can take the ferry at corran which is south of fort william.this short trip will cut 44 miles each way off your journey.i,however like to drive all the way just for the scenery.a good place to stop for a break is in fort william at morrisons.be sure to have all your provisions as they are not freely available after this.to drive there, you head north and take the road to mallaig.it is easy to miss turn off for ardnamurchan.this turn off will be to your left.the drive takes you on a mixture of single track and good roads.the scenery is awesome.i read a review once saying that small crofts were all along this road.it is more of the expensive type now.it comes across as a retreat for the wealthy.easy to see why.the further you travel, the roads get more difficult.eventually, you will find a sign to sanna beach.the drive is worth it.there is a car park and payphone.a short walk to the beach and you find peace and tranquility.the most exhausting drive ive done but worth it.one thing I will mention is that the water is EXCEPTIONALY COLD.swimming here could cost you your life.i paddled and was in pain within minutes.to finish our day we took in ardnmurchan lighthouse(6 mile drive).this is the most westerly place in mainland britain.dont miss the sunset here.it will stay with you.i have slept here in my minibus and if its a clear night, you will see a blanket of stars.i almost forgot, there is wildlife everywhere and the deers will pop their heads up and give you a look as if to say"what are you doing here?" you get the sense that this place really does belong to them and not the wealthy.if this review makes just one person go there and experience what we have, then ive done what I set out to do.to share with people, the hidden gems that are tucked away in beautiful scotland.‬
