What a fun and interesting tour! I was so happy that I decided to book this tour during my two week visit to the Maldives. It was a great way to understand the local area, the people of the country and try out some new types of food. We even got to see stingrays! Mash was a great guide, who knew so much about the country and really has a passion for being the best guide on the island. I highly recommend this tour to get a feel of the local side of the country!

Kamey and the gang was the best. They made sure that we saw all the sites despite the time constraint and weather condition. I felt really safe and well taken cared of. So it was possible to go in the water while being lowered slowly rather than jumping in. Kamey made arrangements to squeeze in the trip before our check in to another island. And uh thank you Kamey for the lecture on impact! Thank you Ruth for arranging this trip for us!

I only had few hour before my flight, and i decided to have a tour on Male. Booking experience was great. Ruth was very responsive and detail about the tour.
The tour itself was perfect! Shark was very knowledgable about Male and he took me around the city including historical buildings and local markets. I came home learning something new about maldives and especially Male.

Just over a year ago my wife and I approached Ruth and team to ask her to help organise our 2 week holiday to the Maldives. Firstly we wanted a recommendation for a very small quiet island within our budget. She provided a fabulous list of possibilities. We then spent a while researching a short list until we settled on our final choice - Mirihi.
Ruth was so responsive throughout answering all our questions. Having made the choice we then wanted her to book it all (not the international flights) including hotel and transfer. This was done without issue or surprise. All very straightforward. She organised the invoicing and money transfer to the hotel, and no doubt kept in contact with the island resort to inform them of our timings. The only thing I then had to do was organise International flights and payment.
We arrived back from our 'holiday of a lifetime' just over a month ago and to say we're still on a high is an understatement. We had a little hiccup on our outbound flight - we missed our flight connection in Doha. But that was a BA issue, not Ruth. But did that phase Ruth and her team? No! They were so adaptable - they changed their and our plans at Male, without hassle, and were still there to greet us and to see us every step of the way to our newly organised sea plane departure time.
Our 2 week holiday on Mirihi was fabulous and then having departed the resort, Ruth and her team met us on the way back through Male, straight off the sea plane and into International departures.
Smooth, stress free, wonderful. Just as a holiday should be. Thank you!

Sehr netter Guide, der tolle Tipps gegeben und immer geholfen hat. Die Highlights waren das Schnorcheln mit Haien und Rochen, wir haben unzählige Fischarten und Korallen gesehen. Leider war das Wetter nicht so gut und wir konnten keine Schildkröten oder Delfine sehen

I did the four hour walking tour of Male with a friend and had a great experience. Our guide, Zaff, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed looking round the old mosque and the trip to the fish and food markets. Zaff took us on a bit of a taste tour and got us to try lots of local foods that we’d never seen before, which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this trip!

Ruth did a wonderful job helping me build a great trip. I was very happy. My only regret is not staying two more night to enjoy the sand bank and Shell Island more. I recommend this company totally. I can’t remember the man’s name who met me at the airport but he was very nice and I appreciated his help.

Highly highly recommend this company and their Male city tour. It’s an excellent way to get a sense of the “real” Maldives before you head to a resort. Our guide was Archie, and he was simply excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable, personal, and a pleasure to be with. Many guides simply spit out information, but with Archie it felt as though we were in conversation. Highly recommend!

7 Nights Marine Life Conservation Tour is an amazing way to experience the Maldives, both above and below the water, whilst gaining an education and understanding of the marine environment from passionate experts from NGO’s Save the Beach, The Maldives Whaleshark Research Program, complimented by the Secret Paradise guide and the boat captains and crew.
The cruise exceeded expectations from the start. Flawless joining arrangements meant a warm welcome and introduction to fellow travellers over a convivial cup of coffee with our Secret Paradise guide UB before making our way to the Dhoni that was to take as to the MV Felicity.
The fun started as we left the harbour when Ibbe, our Dhoni captain spotted a huge pod of dolphins, who proceeded to accompany us along our route which set the tone for the week to come, providing us with unrivalled views of sea life, beach clean ups, walks through local jungle, wanders around local islands, beach BBQ’s, fishing and one of the longest expanses of white sand in the Maldives.
Bebe, (Save the Beach) and Kamey (The Maldives Whaleshark Research Program)provided eye opening facts about the corals, seagrass, marine life and the whalesharks themselves, plus the impact tourism and the changing climate was having on them.
Being based on MV Felicity suited the cruise perfectly as it provided a relaxed and welcoming environment, and a crew who looked after your every need. One of our group was a wheelchair user and the crew simply factored the chair into everything they did so seamlessly it wasn’t even noticed!
As a timid snorkeler who struggles underwater, snorkelling from the Dhoni was a little daunting at first, however having so many skilled snorkel guides in attendance (Bebe, Kamey, UB), plus captain Shafee, (who I’m sure is half fish), meant that my confidence grew immeasurably so by the end I was jumping in fearlessly without drinking half the ocean!
Having great guides, not only meant that those of us less able and confident in the water got the best experience, but also that all manner of sealife was pointed out to those of us with a less trained eye, so we saw octopus, lobsters, moray eels, turtles, as well as rays, sharks and thousands of colourful fish.
The highlights were undoubtable the amazing snorkels with Manta Rays, and not 1, but 2 whale sharks. We were really lucky as the Mantas stayed near us for ages and were so graceful to watch. The whale shark was in choppier waters, however I got a great view thanks to Ibbe (the Dhoni captain and whale shark spotter) who saw me lagging and towed me through the water to be in a prime position.
(The benefit of using Secret Paradise and MV Felicity is that they follow the Whaleshark code of conduct. Something all trips should do, but so many don't, so choose wisely. You do not be in a speedboat that runs over these gentle giants and causes them harm)
Maldivian night was a fitting climax to a great with week, with great food, music (the traditional bodu bera) and dancing. A local band came on board, however the stars of the show were the Felicity crew who drummed and danced expertly and encouraged everyone onto the dance floor.
Huge thanks to the Secret Paradise team, our guide UB, Bebe, Kamey and of course Captain Shafee, Ibbe and the Felicity crew for making it a truly memorable week.
If you want to truly experience the best of the Maldives and the best of Maldivian hospitality then a Secret Paradise cruise onboard MV Felicity is the perfect way to achieve it.

As we are based in the capital area our rates are based on guests staying in Male, Hulhumale and Villimale. Whilst we do offer our tours to guests staying on other islands including resorts, there would be additional costs involved to account for collection and return to your designated island.
Whilst we would be more than happy to welcome you on a tour, unless you are particularly interested in one of our unique cultural tours it will probably be more economical for you to participate in a activity offered by a watersports and excursion provider on the island on which you are staying.

Good Morning,
Whilst we are happy to provide excursions to guests staying on resorts within Male Atolls, there would be an additional charge for transfers between the resort and Male. This cost will be dependent on the distance the resort is from Male. We would also require permission from the resort to allow us to collect you from their private jetty which you can obtain via the guest relations team at reception. Alternatively, you wish to take the resort transfer to the airport or Male from where we can arrange a guide to meet with you.

Hi, I'd be interested in a snorkling tour or an island hoping tour on the 27th or 28th of March. However, I am travelling solo. Can I join a group? Or do i need to find a second person to book in? Thank you :)

For the reference of future guests we are able to offer tours to solo travellers if there is not a group tour planned. Dependent on the tour requested there may be a single supplement surcharge but there are a variety of tours where this does not apply.
