В январе 2023 отдыхали в Маскате.Отдых прошел замечательно.Очень хотела привезти Персидский шелковый ковер.Хотелось что-то стоящее на память.По отзывам нашла магазин,гид также сообщила,что себе,после долгих поисков,приобретала ковер в этом магазине.Родственники гида при визите в страну тоже покупали тут же.В магазине нас встретил гостеприимный хозяин магазина Амир.Очень большой выбор ковров из шелка,шерсти различных размеров.Ковры на любой вкус.Я долго выбирала ковер,персонал очень терпеливый приносили и показывали, Амир нам все рассказал про изделия,многие ковры приобретает на аукционах,все ковры из Ирана.Во время выбора предложили очень вкусный чай,что помогло сделать правильный выбор! ))Очень долго разговаривали по-душам,Амир прекрасный собеседник,замечательный продавец своего шикарного товара.Мы наконец-то сделали свой выбор в пользу красивой шелковой небольшой дорожки.Ковру оказалось 30 лет,что приятно порадовало.Ковер соткан в городе Кум.В этом магазине можно приобрести красивый Персидский ковер на любой вкус и кошелек.Ковры ручной работы,что для меня было важно!Так же есть и машинной работы,Вам всегда об этом скажут,что важно.Амир любезно рассказал о способах деликатного ухода за ковром,как можно почистить в случае,если испачкает собака(у меня дома собака и мне необходима была эта информация).Спасибо Амиру,что по возвращении в Москву красивый ковер радует и дарит приятные воспоминания о покупке.

During my short visit to Muscat, my local friend advised me this shop and I wonder if there is any better in town. Mr.Amir has the eye for the carpets and helped me pick up my carpet. The staff are cordial here and spoke in local Indian languages which helped us understand the carpet much better. There is an auction held periodically and if possible do make it for some good deal. The carpet I picked up was being readied for auction and Mr. Amit offered the product with a further discount which made the purchasing a very sweet experience. Back home, when I see the carpet at home, pride swells within that I could find exactly what I was looking for. For their exhaustive collection and incredible knowledge of their craft, Al Besat is that place u want to come first for Persian rugs.

Just returned from my second auction at Al Besat and I feel compelled to write a review of thanks. Amir is always welcoming and is a master at setting the scene for an enjoyable (and educational) auction. He makes bidding fun and you come away having had a great evening. I’m now a big Kilim fan, especially after Amir lent me ‘Living with Kilims’ from his collection. Bring on auction #3!

A variety of beautiful carpets, mostly handmade in Iran. Amir, the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful, taking time to explain the history, intricacies of design, knots etc. Well worth a visit.

Good variety of Persian carpets, genuine information, warm welcoming and tasty iranian tea served in nice small cup.
They made a silk globe carpet 2 meters dia which 154 nationalities actually tied knots on it.
You can spend hours there if it comes to carpet education.

The shop which is located in a side street of Medinat Sultan Qaboos Street is relatively easy to find. It is located behind the the large Center Point shopping and next to Muscat Bakery. Parking is available. The shop displays a good variety of oriental rugs and the costumer service is very good. Interested can take a look at some of the available products on their online website www.albesat.com. They also hold auctions where carpet lovers can catch a great deal if they are lucky. Those who do not want to buy during an auction can enjoy an hour of fun among people of many different nationalities who either come with the intent to buy or just to admire some exquisit pieces displayed during such events.

Beautiful carpets, some handcrafts. Reliable. Authentic information. Once monthly auction affording great buys. Everyone warm and friendly. Delicious tea served. 'Why Knot' carpet being made by visitors of all countries to show 'we are one'.
