The Palazzo Casa Marro, which was built between the 13th and 14th centuries, stands five storeys high facing the Piazza Elvio Pertinace. It is an imposing red brick building that has a rectangular shaped plan and, given its height, was built as part of the city's defences.
Recent renovation and restoration work has partially uncovered the Palazzo's medieval origins as well as unearthing the Roman temple at its foundations.
There are several glass covered excavation sites in the Piazza showing the Roman ruins as well as an information board.
We could not enter the Palazzo.
This is not a must see.

Si trova in piazza pertinace cioè piazza San Giovanni, edificio austero, bello e ben curato, di fronte alla chiesa di San Giovanni, in pieno centro storico, imponente, bello

In Piazza Pertinace, è presente il Palazzo storico Casa Marro, austera dimora signorile di impianto quadrangolare allungata con la facciata a mattoncini rossi a vista tipico dell'epoca Medievale, infatti ricorda le Torri e le cinte murarie....Ai piedi e sotto le mura del Palazzo dopo un ritrovamento archeologico sono emersi i resti di un grande Tempio in età Romana ,i resti, una piccola parte che emerge , sono visibili dall'alto , entrambi sono molto interessanti.

Imponente edificio situato di fronte alla chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, nel centro storico di Alba.
Recentemente restaurato e ristrutturato risalirebbe al XIII o al XIV secolo.
Ha la tipica struttura delle case-torri medievali, quindi anche con funzioni difensive; pur non presentando una vera torre ha comunque l'altezza di una casa di cinque piani dei nostri giorni.
Sorge in parte al di sopra di un antico tempio romano, parte dei cui resti è visibile di fronte al palazzo.
