Beach mainly of beautiful stones and pebbles. Sea often very beautiful.
The 200 steps make it never too busy. The descent is beautiful and very scenic. The climb is a bit long and tiring, but feasible. There is a dirt road used for parking nearby. It can also be reached by bus.
Advice. Look at the wind direction first and go only in calm sea conditions if you want to swim. The beach is abandoned, there is no surveillance, no lifeguards or rescue tools.
You better bring an umbrella.
In the past years there was a bar and an umbrella rental service. Unsatisfactory service and poor quality and hygiene. This year the bar in June was completely destroyed, with abandoned items, such as electrical wires, sockets, a dilapidated sink, garbage. Sunbeds abandoned in a dilapidated and unsafe stone hut and other furnishings abandoned around. I am writing this because such a beautiful beach deserves the administration to take some care of it, guaranteeing cleanliness, hygiene, surveillance, safety and, in the event of reopening a bar, regularity checks for the services offered. Last note. Often in the afternoon the sea gets dirty due to discharges from recreational boats. Again, no checks.

For me it remains a beautiful beach, away from the chaos, very quiet. Several years ago there was a small bar that rented both sunbeds and umbrellas, now abandoned, a shame. It is accessed via a long staircase that puts you to the test on the way back. Pebble beach, shoes recommended.

Wild beach, poorly maintained and therefore wonderful and wild as nature lovers like. Those looking for comfort go to Marina di Campo.

Grazie ai 200+ scalini un po' faticosi probabilmente, è una spiaggia che rimane non troppo affollata, tranquilla, con un bar dietro.
Sabbia di ciottolini e ghiaia, non comodissima se si punta ad una lunga permanenza (si possono cmq avere dei lettini a pagamento), ma ottima per il nuoto, snorkeling, kajak e per delle belle foto📸

Ci siamo recati in questa spiaggia chiamata anche dei 200 gradini , il posto è magnifico con un mare cristallino stupendo ma …… la gestione del bar e della spiaggia è fatiscente € 40 per due lettini e un ombrellone sporcizia ovunque bottiglie di vetro per terra un bagno chimico ( che già dice tutto pure intasato ) un odore di vino tremendo alla cassa ci viene detto che hanno fatto una festa fino alle 5 del mattino pazzesco …… ma perché mi chiedo rovinare una bellezza di insenatura così e far pagare un salasso ai turisti per non avere un servizio non è giusto è una spiaggia che potrebbe avere delle ottime potenzialità perché lasciarla al degrado puro .

Spiaggia meravigliosa, per anni durante le nostre vacanze abbiamo cercato l'alloggio più vicino possibile a questo piccolo paradiso. Abbiamo frequentato altre belle spiagge e scogli dell'Elba, ma sempre e comunque, a fine vacanza, abbiamo riservato l'ultimo giorno per salutare la "nostra" Palombaia. Bella per fare snorkeling in mezzo ai pesci, magari con una bella pinneggiata fino alla grotta azzurra, per giocare sulla battigia, con quella striscia di sabbia che appare tra i ciottoli a seconda delle maree, suggestiva con i tronchi sbiancati dal mare ed i ciottoli impilati, abbastanza selvaggia da ospitare caprette che scendono dalla scogliera in cerca di un pezzo di pane... Purtroppo negli ultimi anni ne abbiamo visto il degrado: il nuovo locale con la musica a tutto volume, tanto sporco e bottiglie rotte lungo la scalinata, motoscafi che arrivano a motore acceso fino alla riva, addirittura due motobarche che contemporaneamente sfornano centinaia di passeggeri per un tuffo a poche decine di metri dalla spiaggia. Gruppi di canoe (peraltro un bellissimo modo di vivere il mare) che però fanno tappa scaraventando le loro imbarcazioni senza un minimo di rispetto per chi si ritrova l'ombrellone quasi sommerso e deve fare un largo giro per accedere al mate. L'ultima perla: il motoscafo del locale stesso che continua a fare avanti e indietro a motore acceso incurante dei regolamenti, con il "bananone" che porta i clienti a terra. E allora i 206 scalini non riescono più a proteggere questo posto meraviglioso dallo sfruttamento del turismo di massa. Cara amata Palombaia, con il cuore colmo di amarezza, temo che l'anno prossimo non verremo più a trovarti...

Ci rechiamo in questa spiaggia alla ricerca di relax e tranquillità ma purtroppo la giornata non si rivela tale..La spiaggia attrezzata non è praticamente gestita e abbiamo avuto come l'impressione che facessero i prezzi dell'ombrellone e dei lettini a "simpatia"..
A noi hanno chiesto 40 euro (pensano di essere in Fetovaia???) sul tabellone in bella vista era appuntata una prenotazione a 30,00 euro...
Ma li capisco..hanno 3 ombrelloni in croce e 2 li usano loro perché clienti non ne hanno!!! La zona "attrezzata" è cmq dispersiva quindi anche se paghi la spiaggia, dietro, davanti e di fianco si possono mettere tutti..con tanto di tende e schiamazzi vari..Nessuno controlla e nessuno dice nulla. Come se non batasse c'è stato un via e vieni di barche che arrivavano davvero vicino alla costa ma anche lì...gestione assente..come mai?? Eravano loro amici quindi si facevano venire a prendere per far salire in barca i bambini, ovviamente con persone in acqua!! Dalle 17.00 inizia la musica da discoteca con arrivo di orde di ragazzini...
Peccato! Davvero un gran peccato.. la spiaggia è bella e sarebbe un chicca..come sempre sono le persone a rovinare tutto

......ci passerei la maggior parte dei giorni di vacanza! Mare meraviglioso, spiaggia di ciottoli (ci vogliono li scarpini) circondata da scogliera....bellissimo posto

Wir sind am Tag davor in Elba angekommen und wollten für den ersten Tag einen relativ nahen Strand zu unserer Unterkunft wählen (Westküste).
Der Strand war sauber und das Wasser klar. Die Betreiber der Bar kümmern sich darum.
Der Strand wird inoffiziell als "spiaggia 100 scale" genannt, es sollte jedem klar sein, dass es eher doppelt so viele sind. 😊 Durchschnittlich gesunde Menschen schaffen diese Treppen ohne Probleme. Wir hatten 1 Rucksack und 2 Stand up paddels mit und haben es auch geschafft💪. Wer am Strand im Schatten liegen will hat die Wahl zwischen selbst schleppen oder an der Bar zu mieten.
An der Bar ist Sand, näher am Wasser bzw im Wasser Steine. Wer darauf einigermaßen bequem laufen möchte, sollte sich solche Schuhe zum reingehen besorgen (ich persönlich kann dazu auch die 5 fingers empfehlen).
Wer den Eingang nicht so lange suchen möchte wie wir, siehe "sehr professionelle Karte" im Anhang. An der Hauptstraße ist ein Parkplatz, der wohl eher zu einem Privatgrundstück gehört, welches zum Verkauf und unbewohnt ist. Der Parkplatz an der Kreuzung ist ein Schotterparkplatz, mit Schatten kann man bei beiden nicht wirklich rechnen.

Bellissimo mar trasparente e e bellissimo panorama. Adatto per fare snorkeling. Portare scarpe da scoglio per approfittare di qualche breve escursione. Adatta per bambini dai 6-7 anni in su. Mai particolarmente affezionato.
