After the visit to the cathedral museum, from the side of the garden you descend to walk the approximately 200 meters open to the public of the maze. Also in this case the Etruscan evidence of concludes with the cistern of Roman times and the tower of the cathedral. After 142 steps you can have a top view of closed

Very interesting, explained very well by the guide, you go back to the times of the Etruscans. Very nice also the cathedral, a jewel inside.

One of the wonders of Etruscan ingenuity explained by an excellent Guide. A journey into history and the tunnels (which can be visited comfortably) of what remains of an Etruscan aqueduct .. a must-see experience if you visit Chiusi. The "labyrinth" itself is small and the package includes the climb to the tower, above the Roman swimming pool (in the ancient sense of the term).

Below the main square of Chiusi is a hidden place of extraordinary beauty.
The Labyrinth of Porenna, is actually an imposing cistern where, it is said, Porsenna was buried along with his very rich trousseau full of gold, although it has never been found.
The exhibition itinerary is divided into several underground tunnels, until you reach the large cistern in which the water was conveyed.
A little further on, the visit ends with the ascent of the steps that allow you to reach the cusp of the bell tower of the cathedral, and admire the splendid panorama from above.
Visit absolutely recommended.

In the previous comments there are already all the necessary info. I write only to point out the Guide Davide: smart guy, prepared and funny. He was able to involve my children, especially the six-year-old who acted as his "assistant". They learned a lot and until the evening they were talking about this experience!

Both the adults and children (7 and 10) in our group loved learning about the Etruscans and seeing the underground tunnels. I highly recommend.

The name of this route evokes the legend of the sumptuous tomb of Porsenna, which the first discoverers hoped to have found but which has nothing to do with the king's burial. Instead, it is a maze of tunnels acting as an aqueduct that leads to a large underground cistern. The tunnels have connections with the surface via ventilation or water collection wells. Water was certainly considered a wealth even by the Etruscans! The entrance to this underground world is next to the cathedral, the visit must be booked and at the beginning there is a small museum which houses splendid illuminated manuscripts from the Monte Oliveto abbey with other finds and objects for worship. From there you go down into the tunnels and there are several stairs, although comfortable; Absolutely avoid the place if you suffer from claustrophobia.

The excursion through the tunnels and cisterns under the city of Chiusi is very interesting and in some ways stunning, I certainly recommend it. Today's guide was very good. The visit ends with access to the San Secondiano tower, which offers a beautiful panorama. With the same ticket it is also possible to visit the Cathedral Museum, for true enthusiasts.
For people with L. 104 entry is free, however the museum area of the Chiusi Cathedral had a broken bathroom.
The guide rightly directed us to the city's public toilets, which are free, but without light, without toilet paper and in the form of a toilet, it is a difficult/impossible situation for people with reduced mobility.
Recommended visit, to be booked by phone, all the necessary information is available on the internet.

I was actually very skeptical about visiting this underground labyrinth. Mostly because I hadn't had much positive feedback.
We still wanted to have this experience and I must say that as far as I'm concerned it was positive.
Initially they allow you to visit the Diocesan Museum of the Cathedral. Then we set off through the underground labyrinth until we reach the tower.
The bell tower can be visited up to the top and out onto the small perimeter terrace.
In my opinion there isn't much to see, but the guide Davide managed to completely involve us, telling us the history of this aqueduct with wisdom and simplicity.
