‪I took the most beautiful photos of 2023 here!
I recommend comfortable shoes and layered clothing, bring water and a hat!
Simple route but not suitable for children.‬

‪The pond is truly unique and wonderful, but is now too frequented and often the subject of uncivilized and harmful behavior. There has been talk for years about some form of regulation and control, but there is little to delude ourselves about. As regards the route, it must be said that, for those who are not used to mountain excursions, the path is not without difficulties, essentially due to passages on rocky slabs and the exposed final stretch. In themselves they would not be particularly problematic, but unfortunately they must be faced in crowded conditions, in the presence of hesitant people and flows in the opposite direction. For the rest, as mentioned, the lake is wonderful and truly particular, with the looming bell tower of the Finger of God and, nearby, the welcoming Vandelli Refuge. The route to get there starts from Passo Tre Croci, where you park with some difficulty.
It is absolutely necessary to wear, in addition to appropriate clothing, mountain boots.

‪4 hour round trip.
Very tiring and sheer sections not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo.
But it's really worth it, the breathtaking view, the lake is beautiful‬

‪Alpine lake of refined beauty and fortunately still little known. Too bad it was a little cloudy, the color of the water was less bright.
The path taken is 215 starting from Passo Tre Croci and it took us 4 hours return. Of medium difficulty, it requires a bit of training but also appropriate clothing, especially shoes: the terrain is in fact uneven, with stones and roots and at times wet with water from the streams. In some places you are even on the edge of the overhang. However I really liked it.
Packed lunch on the shores of the lake with well-deserved relaxation before resuming the return journey.‬

‪Very beautiful lake - can only be reached with a not entirely strenuous hike. Seems to be particularly popular with young English-speaking Instagrammers and therefore triggers a small daily migration of young, sporty people in the summer months.‬

‪What they say is true: the lake is undoubtedly spectacular and the water is exactly as it appears in all the images that can be found on Google. Absolutely gorgeous; it definitely deserves to be visited once in a lifetime.
I say one because, being so beautiful, it really attracts so many visitors.
We went on a Wednesday in early September and, despite everything we had heard, we didn't think we would find so many people. Fortunately, most people were adequately equipped, but their pace, both for better and for worse, especially regarding the climb, necessarily had to adapt to everyone else's.
As for the trail, the view is breathtaking. However, I strongly advise against it to anyone who suffers from vertigo.
Even though many sites say it's an easy route, I wouldn't dare to point it out as such. The first and last part involve the route along a wooded but quite rocky path, with some steep climbs and crossing points where you almost need to climb. The central part (about an hour) involves walking along the coast of the mountain (obviously flanked by a deep precipice not always covered by trees) in which there are sections in which you have to hold on to a rope to climb and make a ladder, at least for me, quite dizzying. All obviously aggravated by the constant ups and downs of the numerous people who go to see the lake.
Obviously the lake is worth going and I recommend everyone to go, but consider carefully the ideal time to do so.

I open a small parenthesis if you are considering doing the route together with your dog. In my opinion and experience, it is not appropriate to bring your dog to Sorapis because, if the dog is small, in some places you will almost certainly have to pick it up because they are critical and it could be in difficulty. If, however, you have a larger dog, you will have to be particularly careful as there are points where you will have to hold on and if you have a dog that pulls a lot you could risk getting hurt.
Personally I love taking my dog around the mountains but I was glad I didn't take her to Sorapis. She probably would have suffered a lot from the length and difficulty of the walk and I wouldn't have been able to "support" her in some moments because I also didn't know if that's how I would be able to get to the end.

Have a nice walk!

‪We stayed with our 14 and 18 year old boys.....it had rained the night before so everything was a bit slippery, I don't find it too suitable for children...but even for kids it has some exposed spots which are not pleasant for those suffer from vertigo, I recommend suitable boots and perhaps walking sticks, of course but the spectacle that nature offers along the entire route ... and upon arrival it is indescribable, it is worth it‬

‪The lake is a beautiful turquoise color and is extremely clean because the water that flows into it comes from glaciers. This lake is located at the foot of the Dito di Dio mountain. Its name literally means “finger of the gods.”

And this place is also surrounded by the Dolomite mountain range. Therefore making it a perfect combination that is beautiful beyond description and has good weather all year round.‬

‪Beautiful mountain lake, difficult to access, long narrow path, little difference in altitude but some somewhat technical passages on the hillside (people afraid of heights or with young children, refrain).
Difficult to cross paths, in short, a hike to avoid in August.
However, the landscape is magnificent once you arrive. Possibility of going around the lake. No tourist development, so it’s good that we preserve a natural side…‬
