‪Fantastic experience if you love to cook‬

‪We enjoyed every moment of our time with Maya and Gianna. Maya met us and took us shopping at the market which was a fun experience. We were able to pick the vegetables we wanted to have with our dinner. Then it was on to Gianna's restaurant and kitchen for our cooking lesson. She showed us how to make focaccia, panna cotta, orecchiette, veggies and a delicious chicken dish. This is a 'hands on' class which is exactly what we wanted. Gianna is also able to translate some ingredients to what we can find in the US (extremely helpful if you want to recreate these dishes at home). Everything was fresh and delicious. Thank you, Gianna and Maya, and best of luck with your new restaurant!‬

‪A Fun Activity‬

‪A fun half a day. We did this cooking class in the morning and started off at the local market. It was small but had everything we needed. Next onto their beautiful new space where we cooked our lunch.

Making the focaccia bread was really easy and it was delicious.

Mother/daughter team are fun to be around. Take note that Maya runs the morning class and Gianna runs the evening class. We were lucky to meet with Gianna but only for a bit.

We had another family in our group and they were a pleasure to be with.

Not a must do activity but nice to break up a day without touring.

Good luck on your new restaurant!!!‬

‪Great time in the kitchen! A terrific evening of making and eating Puglian food with the guidance of chefs Maya and Marco (truth be told, they covered a lot of operator error on the part of the students!). Really lotsa fun and with the very real payoff of an unforgettable meal— what every final exam dreams of being!‬

‪Gianna, Maya and Marco conjured up memories of being in my grandmothers kitchen. Wholesome ingredients that were fresh and pure, easy to follow hands on experience, an evening of stories and laughter. It felt like home. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with my family. Don’t miss this experience. It encompasses all things Lecce.‬

‪What a fabulous experience cooking was with Gianna and Marco — we learned to make so many wonderful Italian specialties (Focaccia, Orecchiette pasta, Gnocchi and more!)— the class begins at the market in Lecce with Gianni explaining about meats, cheeses and veggies of the region and with your input chooses the ingredients for the class—the cooking is very “hands on” so you fully participate in preparing the food — and best of all, you sit together with your classmates in the beautiful dining room and enjoy the fruits of your labor!‬

‪Gianna's cooking class in Lecce was our group's favourite experience from 18 days in Puglia. Everything was perfect - from the market to her new facility. Gianna is amazing at everything she does. She took all of our different cooking skill levels and managed to include everyone in cooking all of the amazing dishes. The end result was great tasting food with wine and great conversation around the table. I highly recommend anyone to book with Gianna, you won't be disappointed.‬

‪Cooking class with Gianna and Marco at Cooking Experience‬

‪If you love Italian food and are planning a trip to the Lecce area you must take a cooking class with Gianna and Marco at Cooking Experience.
With their expertise and skill (and lots of humor) they led us through Italian dishes with ease. We turned out beautiful and delicious dishes. What a great evening! Fantastico!!!

‪We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with Gianna at her beautiful school. She had one experienced and one novice cook to manage and she excelled as a kind and well-informed teacher. Can’t wait for the next time!‬

‪Don’t miss an opportunity to cook with Gianna and maya! The mother/daughter duo teach you the traditional/puglia way…use the freshest/local ingredients, keep the recipe simple so you taste everything you put in the recipe, enjoy the process and feel successful in the kitchen. These women make a dynamic team. They are professional, friendly/fun and so passionate that they make you feel at home! I loved the market, their beautiful restaurant, their stories and most importantly our very own home cooked meal - focaccia, orecchiette with tomatoes, vegetables gratinee, and braciola…finally, panna cotta. DELIZIOSO!!!‬
