Evaluation of the visit to Icario Vineyard
We had an amazing experience at the Icario winery. We were welcomed and guided by Alessandra, who deserves a score of 10! His sympathy, knowledge and attention made all the difference in our visit. From the presentation of the facilities to the explanation of the production processes and the tasting, everything was impeccable.
The vineyard offers a beautiful environment, with stunning landscapes and excellent quality wines. The dedication and care of the team are evident in every detail. I recommend the visit to all who enjoy wines and wish to experience a memorable experience in the region.

My husband and I enjoyed really much the visit to this winery. We have a detailed and personalized explanation from Alessandra who was an amazing hostess. The wine tasting was very good, and we purchased an special white wine called Trebbiano Bianco Toscano and a red wine called Vitaroccia.
We are so happy to had this great experience!

Coming in the off season helped to avoid the crowds. We booked a wine tasting and tour that was 55 euros each. Similar to Napa tours. We had the tour guide Alessandra all to ourselves. She was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. Facilities were great and the wine excellent. Had a great time and the views on the property were amazing.

Our lunch and wine tasting at Icario Winery with Alessandra was outstanding. Her passion and expertise made the experience unforgettable. The food was a perfect match for the wines, showcasing Tuscan flavors, and the views of the vineyards were stunning. Alessandra’s guidance through each tasting was insightful and engaging. A must-visit for anyone in Tuscany!

The wine is superb, and the villas are a stunning arrangement of several villas on the property for families or couples or groups of friends.
The main house has 3 in suite bedrooms with beautiful baths. There are two other villas in the group that are like small one bedroom homes, all beautifully appointed.
Lucia and Francine took care of every detail and arrangement for us. They were just great!
And when it comes to the beauty of Tuscany, this whole arrangement is stunning.
The best part?? Arriving after a long journey from France and finding a wine refrigerator full of the Icario vineyards best wines!!!

Lucia and Francine took care of every detail and arrangement for us. They were just great!

We had a wonderful visit at Icario winery in Montepulciano. Alessandra is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and generous guide. From start to finish, she was full of interesting insights about Icario wines, and The Montepulciano region. We visited a few wineries and this one ranks right up there for their great people, excellent wines and fantastic facilities. We highly recommend it to anyone spending time in Montepulciano!

On our tour of Tuscany, we selected the Icario winery in Montapulciano for a wine tasting. This was a very good decision because we were received very friendly and had a great wine tasting with a variety of top wines. We were allowed to visit the whole winery and walk through the vineyards. It was a wonderful afternoon and we can only recommend it. Thanks to Lucy!

A fantastic place to enjoy and let your soul dangle.
Excellent wines and a very friendly, courteous and competent team.
Registration for tasting is required (especially current at harvest time), for which a lot of time is also taken to show the winery and explain the wines.
Shipping wine to Germany works perfectly.

I've been emailing with the winery to make a reservation for a tour and tasting.
After specifying a day, time and tour, the latest email said:
"As a confirmation policy we kindly ask for advanced payment by bank transfer.... Please find below the details to pay in advance with bank transfer... Payment is not refundable"
Is this normal?
I don't see any indication on the Icario website that payment will be in advance by bank transfer, and none of the reviews or Q&A on Tripadvisor (or other websites that I checked) mention it. No other winery in the area has asked me for anything similar.
I understand wanting an advance payment to prevent no-shows, and would be open to some sort of deposit (ideally paid with a credit card).
But getting surprised by an email that requests an international bank transfer is just such a classic internet scam that I'm hesitant to wire over 110 euro without double-checking this is legitimate.
Can anyone confirm whether this is real?

We just went there & paid for our tasting afterward. It does not sound legit to transfer money ahead of time. We were a fairly large group too - 12 people.
