‪Incredibly friendly and helpful service from Stefano who runs this lovely family business. He responded promptly on WhatsApp when we had a question the night before we wanted to go to his beach. In person he was an absolute delight. We had a super spot and even a cappuccino from Stefano. He treated us like a member of his family- and indeed we enjoyed a drink with some family and friends later in the day to celebrate a birthday! Such a brilliant guy. Would recommend! (Especially as we had a very mediocre experience at a nearby Bagno a few days earlier). Also a 10% discount for the restaurant out front. Perfect.‬

‪Hele fijne dagen gehad bij Stefano!‬

‪Wij hebben twee heerlijke dagen aan het strand gehad bij beachclub Maurizio van Stefano! Via whatsapp (nummer staat op de website) al even gereserveerd ‘s morgens en daarna hartelijk ontvangen. Schone toiletten, ruime kleedkamers en heerlijke strand bedjes. Kortom, wij komen zeker nog eens terug! ‬

‪We visited bagno Maurizio after reading the great TripAdvisor reviews.
We had a lovely welcome from Stefano who showed us all the amenities, where to sit and where to store our valuables. He was genuine and helpful. He suggested where to eat at lunchtime and made us feel so welcome we plan to return. 😁‬

‪Stephano est exceptionnellement gentil et serviable, nous avons été très bien accueilli,il fait l effort de parler français, pour 35€ nous avions 3 transats un parasol une cabine et une bouteille d'eau.
Nous y sommes retournés sans réservation et Stephano a tout fait pour nous trouver une place agréable.
Vraiment exceptionnel à Viareggio, encore un grand merci.

‪Diesen wunderschönen Küstenabschnitt der Versilia und verschiedene Bagnos kenne ich seit vielen Jahrzehnten. Diesmal also in der Nähe von Viareggio und 5 Sonnentage in Stefanos Bagno. So einen freundlichen Kontakt mit dem Bagno-Chef hatten wir selten. Wir waren zu fünft und hatten "una tenda". Die Preise sind mehr als fair. Das Bad bietet genügend Abstände zwischen allen Liegestühlen und bietet jeden Service: Fingerabdruck-Safe, Duschen,Toiletten, Kabinen, überdachter Bereich für Tische und Stühle, und 10 % Skonto für ein Restaurant gegenüber. Sehr geeignet für Familien. Bequemer kostenpflichtiger Parkplatz vor der Einrichtung (€.10.00 den ganzen Tag).‬

‪Would choose this again if came to Viareggio ‬

‪Viareggio is an easy train trop from Pisa. 15 minutes from Pisa Centrale by a very reasonably priced train and then maybe 20 minutes walk or so down to this place on the seafront. This part seemed to all private beaches and, having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, we searched it this one. Basically, you leave the station and go straight ahead until you hit the seafront. Then right until you come to beach number 73. The guy who runs it, Stefano, was a bit of a character but very helpful and welcoming. You are probably best booking in first, though we didn't and still got a great spot. You get a parasol, lounger, two deck chairs and another chair on the beach. Plus there are toilets and the use of a locked cabin for your stuff. Also get 10% off at the restaurant at the top of the beach. Nice sand and sea is quite shallow some way fro.the shore. A really great experience.

‪Superbe plage, pas trop bondée en ce lundi de début septembre. Stefano est une personne incroyable qui respire la bonne humeur et la joie de vivre : il est très disponible et n’hésite pas à passer des bons moments avec ses invités ! Aucun regret, c’est la meilleure plage que nous aurions pu choisir. Merci beaucoup !‬

‪2nd time at Bagno Maurizio. I was there last year also. And there are a ton of beaches to choose from in Viareggio so why did I go back? Easy - the staff there are wonderful. Often times, as americans, we are "welcomed" but it feels like that "fake" welcome. I felt genuine warmth from Stefano. And, as american who lives in Italy part-time, so often shops, restaurants, etc want to speak to me in English when I'm quite capable of doing small tasks such as ordering in italian - it really makes me angry. Despite knowing that Im american and that his english is likely better than my italian, Stefano spoke to me in italina - molto gentile‬

‪Lovely beach, clean, great location, access to local restaurants and supermarkets for lunch. Clean changing rooms if you need them. But best of all Stefano will welcome you with open arms and make your stay in Viareggio even more memorable!‬

‪Overrated‬

‪Tried this place based on all the reviews, it was very overrated. Stefano was a friendly host but it was a disappointing experience. On asking for 3 sunbeds, on turning up on the beach, we were given one with no explanation. The place didn’t have any on-site restaurant (which is a must if you have young kids) but he named one indicating it was just next door…which turned out to be 10 minutes’ walk away! There are other Bagnos nearby more suitable for families.‬
