A diving center as we love them,
Originally from Nantes, I wanted to do Diver Stress & Rescue training in the south of France over this period (end of September) to complete my experience.
First: searches on the web of a center that can correspond to my needs and first telephone contacts.
All right, it's validated for "Dive Archipelago" in Argeles Sur Mer: Thank you Rose for this warm, cordial and attentive contact. From information on training, rates, program to housing assistance near the center, everything was perfect and unsurprising.
820 Kms later, arrival on the Port of Argeles Sur Mer and first steps to the diving center:
The center is located on the harbor and very close to the wharf where a nice semi-rigid with 2 x 200hp (the Archiblack) waits wisely to reach the dive sites quickly.
The boss (Damien), already busy preparing for the day welcomes you with sympathy and as it should, it starts with the paperwork and the tour of the center.
It's a family center, not the factory here. You're taken care of from the moment you arrive until your Check-out. For my part, I came with all my equipment but their equipment is good quality, clean and maintained.
It's off to a first exploration dive before starting DS&R training.
Even with the few meters separating the center from the boat, you do not carry your equipment but you push it on carts.
With the archiblack, we arrive in a flash at our dive site, our instructor and Guide for this dive, it is "Bibi", not to mention his professionalism, he is a friendly, smiling and pleasant guy.
We begin the training and Damien takes the hand, we immediately feel the competence and experience.
We string together a series of techniques that are always demonstrated before and that I think is really a big plus (we retain a lot by mimicry).
The more advanced techniques are clearly explained and are repeated for greater efficiency.
I am not 20 or even 30 years old (52 years old) and yet for this fairly physical internship, I never felt any anxiety or danger. Damien is looking, serious and always vigilant with his student.
We trust him and it always goes where almost (lol for the rides on the boat).
Last dive: a beautiful deep exploration on the wreck "Le Saumur" .
Frankly, considering the dive sites in this area, it takes a lot of difficulty to leave unhappy with a dive.
Despite the obligation to be serious about this type of activity and of course for our safety, I found the team to be super friendly, humorous and kind. A huge "THANK YOU" for this shared moment and thank you also to the divers who came on this week.

Superb experience, the team is dynamic and knows on the tips of the fins the various diving sites on the rocky coast from clay to cerberium to believe that they even know the names of fish, octopus, moray eels.
Very pedagogue, the team put me at ease and could not Ace progress in a pro, kind and friendly atmosphere.
I just passed my level 1 (SSI open water driver).
I have plenty of memorable images of my dives.
Thanks to the whole team and see you soon for the rest 👌.

Personally I have done diving baptisms before and clearly it was my best baptism!! I saw lots of species, swam with schools of fish. My family and I have stars in our eyes. The instructors were super nice, great with the kids! Frankly I RECOMMEND!

After 6 months of preparation with my club instructors, it was time for me to pass my level 4.
Ready as ever, I registered for the “Level 4 / Group guide” course and exam from September 23 to October 3, 2023 offered by Archipel Plongée.
I could have taken the exam at the level of a CODEP but I wanted to benefit from the vision and experience of diving professionals.
What awaits you if you want to take the N4 with them:
The welcome was cordial with the presentation of the instructors and members of the jury.
The first days are meant to gauge the level and suggest areas for improvement (no one is perfect).
We are asked to quickly participate in the management of the boat (with a demo to start), the seamanship test begins and will be continuous :)
Then comes the group guide tests. The first time we do the test on the monitors.
We will then work with the club's clientele. This allows you to see completely different profiles.
It's a little unsettling at first, but it allows you to see real profiles. After all, that's the principle of a GP: having to manage divers, whether they are beginners, experienced divers, who haven't dived for a long time, who have been around warmer seas with aluminum blocks... You have to know how to demonstrate 'adaptability.
During the surface interval, you will debrief the dives with clients. Then with the instructor who followed us. I always enjoyed these debriefings from the instructors as they were always kind... even when I made mistakes... after all, we learn from these mistakes ;)
We will also have fun working on marine knots, talking about our equipment, but also getting to know the other divers.
The ascent tests (DTMR at 25m / assistance at 40m) are carried out on the jury. Having failed one of the tests during the course, I was asked to repeat it the next day so as not to dwell on it before the exam.
The instructors also suggested that we rework the elements of theory on which we were least comfortable after the dives.
Even when the initially planned theory sessions were carried out, I asked questions on a specific subject, they took time to help me.
During the practical tests (and even before), almost all the customers were there to support us, motivate us, it warms our hearts.
This center has managed to create a lovely family who have since adopted me :)

Thank you also to Rose and Bibi for your good humor.
Only one disappointment: I forgot to write about bibi (the nickname of the model.. and yes there are 2 bibis in the center lol) after passing the exam.
Can't wait to go back there to dive, and to write about bibi (still on the mannequin.. whatever lol ;p)

Bonjour, je souhaite savoir sachant que j'ai déjà fait mon baptême, à quelle sortie je peux prétendre et à quel coût. Merci

Bonjour, si vous souhaitez aller plus loin nous avons 2 possibilités:
La première le Pack Découverte qui est un groupe de 3 plongées dont au moins une comprend une plongée de formation et un réelle exploration. Ce pack vous permet sans licence ni certificat médical de pouvoir obtenir une certication plongeur encadré à 12M.
La deuxième possibilité est de vous orienter vers le N1 avec une formation complète qui vous amène à une certification de plongeur encadré à 20 m.
Le prix de chaque prestation sont respectivement de 150€ pour le pack découverte et de 320 € + 40 € de licence soit 360€.
Sinon sans autre certification qu'un baptême vous ne pourrez que refaire un baptême.
