This is very close to my parent’s house so I have spent a lot of time here since December 1987. Prior to this my Gran used to take me here.
It is wonderful to visit, although I miss the days when it didn’t have long swathes of grass. That’s just me though.

This is the perfect place to go on a nice day. I use to go here as a child and now i take my children they love it here. Its a beautifully place.

The upgrade of Kearsney and the tea room is beautiful especially the Blue Badge Holders car park. The car park needs tarmac for wheelchair and elderly disabled users.

Kearsney Abbey Gardens ist ein wunderschöner und großer Garden. Mit Kinderspielplatz, viele Bänke, Schwäne, Enten, Brücke und Imbiss. Parkplatz ist kostenlos. Wir haben hier tolle Zeit verbracht.

Love Kearsney Abbey, always go to the cafe for refreshments. They have a great selection of goodies and including delicious gluten free. I had the millionaire short bread today which melted in my mouth. Lovely, friendly staff who make me smile. We mainly end up laughing and joking, trust me they are so funny. Going here makes my day.

Always have the best Time here. It is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained. Its the perfect spot for a picnic and a dip in the surrounding water.
Really enjoy being here. Looking forward to the summer and many afternoons rolling on the grass with the kiddies

There are two adjacent gardens. The River Dour runs alongside one, Russel Gardens, and through the other, Kearsney Abbey Gardens forming the large lake with a large population of waterfowl. There is a cafe iIKearsney which serves teas, coffees and hot and cold snacks. Although they are designate gardens I would class them as parks. They are great places to sit, relax and watch the world go by.

We had a pleasant walk about exploring the area. It is a lovely place, but I’m sure it’s even nicer when the sun in shining! That being said the carpark is quite small, so although there were plenty of spaces I can imagine on a good day they are much trickier to come across.

We took our service user out for the day and for a meal out. The food cart was sell egg sandwiches so we asked if they could do an omelette as he has problems with most of what they were sell. They declined. We went for a tuna sandwich and was told they make up there tuna in advance as we asked for just a straight tuna and mayo. Unknown to use they had sweetcorn in it as well, which he is unable to have. We check his food and prepare it before hand so noticed this. Sometimes a little bit off understanding is nice with venders when trying to purchase food. Not everyone can have the added bits that they put in. We did have a lovely walk around the gardens and the wild life was great

Yes, the works seem to have been going on for a very long time but you can still keep away from some of it and enjoy a walk in the woods. This time of year (autumn) it is beautiful. There were also a pair of swans and their 7 fairly large cygnets.
It really is worth going for a walk around the gardens and in the woods.

No because this a home for birds and fish. Separate dog lead free area.

Hi. Yes it does. There looks to be and enclosed recreation area with swings and things they can climb around on.

Hi, Yes you can but you have to keep you dog on a lead on the side of the lake that has the children's park and café. Once you cross over the lake you can let your dog off to enjoy the grounds, woods and hills. It is a lovely place to walk your dog, especially if you follow the trails up the hill through the woods as you get some lovely views across Dover. I hope this helps, enjoy your visit it is well worth it.

I really don't know but I would guess not as it is a public park. So doubt very much they would close it for personal use. I would contact the council, who undoubtedly run the place and ask them.
